Here's my tribute to Shel. I loved him when I was a kid.
The cat took a crap in my shoes
And not on the daily news.
I needed a new pair,
But it's really not fair
That the cat took a crap in my shoes.
That fur-wad pissed in my bed.
So I guess he needs to be fed.
And now the sheets really smell
He should burn in hell
For taking a piss in my bed.
The bastard ralphed hair on the floor
So I slammed his tail in the door.
He wailed in pain
As I beat him with a cane
Because he ralphed hair on my floor.
And the asshole scratched on the walls
And left kitty Sanskrit in the halls.
It said, "Fuck you bitch!"
I'll do what I wish
Because I own the house and these walls.
So I dug a hole out back
And dragged him to it by his sack
"This is the end of you,
You rat-bastard Jew!"
And I put him in the hole out back.
Now the flowers grow prettily there
And my floors are free of the hair
No more shit in my shoes
No more nasty-sheet-blues
Just pink flowers scattered, guess where?
