I am really stunned at this; truly taken aback. I really have trouble believing that due to the woes of the few who didn't realize you weren't anonymous online someone as knowledgeable as Bart would remove my post. This was no shock to Bart; he himself could easily have done what I did. I mean shit, a yahoo search for her name revealed where she works, and then searching Florida's phone book for her name did the rest. The only thing that wasn't public knowledge was her IP address, but even that I only narrowed down to 1 of 1000 possibilities.
I am really tempted to be the one who emails her boss, but I know that feeling is likely just part of my being pissed about this. I will wait for a more rational moment to consider. At the very least I want to make sure Stacey learned her lesson. Do not ever again consider making a hate email towards me. In the future I hope you take a look at your actions and make sure they are something you can be proud of before you do them. You are using your REAL name, just as I am; I however have done nothing I don't stand by. If you cannot say the same, maybe it is time to reconsider the way you are going about things.
In closing I would like this post, and any reviews it may receive to be a petition for the return of my Welcome to the Internet Miss Schwenk post, one of the best hate posts ever done.

Loren1, I don't think that this person who provided was a teenager, and I don't think he/she really acts like one, so I am not sure I understand the link. I think he/she was too naive to this stuff and maybe too trusting of people. But it is interesting information.

I also gave the original rant a +2, but mostly out of fear that if I gave it a -2, Mr. Jones would come after *me*! :-)
This is a fun place - and yes, people can be cruel. But when it threats someone's job/life (even if they are stupid enough to post personal information about themselves), it is taking things too far.
Bart was right for deleting the post.
Hopefully everyone learned a lesson from this... (oh damn, that sounds so pre-schoolish...)

Domenad, I don't think that she meant to be a punk. She saw how most people treat each other here, and thought that was what to do. Perhaps she just tried to hard. At least that what it looks like from what I read. Best not to pass judgment. She probably didn't mean for it to go that far anyway.

I write one post wondering where it went and asking to replace it and suddenly I am whining and pounding my fist against a wall throwing tantrums to get my way. *eye roll* I'm not going to hate anyone over it, and I am certainly not going to heed any "grow up" comments from someone who obviously puts no stock into accountability.
Dome - that tends to be the way new Uber users enter the fray, I have 2 posts, both of which didn't go over very well. The first one didn't get read at all because I am a dumbass and didn't notice how hard it was to read, and the second included a picture of a 800 pound porn star, maybe a bad inclusion in hindsight.
Anyways, you guys are right about at least 1 thing, time to move on. It's the weekend, and I am sure we all have better things to do.

Alright, I'll be honest, I liked the first one. It took balls and it took a little bit of talent to get all the information together. I thought it was a funny bitch slap. I don't like what she writes, but she made a good point:
Insulting, flaming, questioning of parentage or sanity, hate posts, it's all good. I sure hope to get an absolutely incandescent one myself one day.
However, Big Brother style stalk posts? Very dodgy - just because it's easy, and nothing that wasn't already available, it doesn't mean you have to do it because you can. If I got one of those, I would start to fear for my and my family's safety. Not for anything you guys would do, but for what some lurker with nastier intentions might think about doing. I don't care how poor her posts or attitudes are, does she deserve that?
There's a lot to be said for intelligent mudslinging. Insult can become an artform, but it shouldn't unnerve outside observers, it should make them laugh.

It was a good hate post.
It did raise important legal issues.
It's probably right of Bart to remove it.
Like I said on the original post, I think it's a good lesson to be learned. I think a fair number of people who reviewed it and saw it got a nasty shock to realize the extent to which they are open to that kind of exposure on the Internet.
But it's also her life.

Lucifer, it would be fucking hilarious if you were serious. I don't think that post is ever going to see the light of day again. No matter. I naturally took the following precautions against a potential deletion. I captured screen shots of the post, copied and pasted the information into Word, Wordpad, and notepad, and hand copied it from Ubersite onto looseleaf paper in PERMANENT ink with photocopies.
The nightmare along the information superhighway isn't over for Schwenck yet. I will be selling it all at the local playgrounds during recess for a dollar.

You posted her personal information without her permission. Because of you, she started getting harassing emails from people through her work contact. It's your fault - not hers, and not mine.
I'm well aware that all this information is available, but when you organize it together in one place along with vague threats, your bullshit "I just want to prove..." theory turns into public harassment. I mean, my phone number is public information, but if Howard Stern reads it on the air, that isn't "ok" because it's publicly available.
You want to write something about how you hate her and how she's a bitch, that's fine. You want to find a picture of it a draw a stupid looking swastika on it, that's fine. Those types of things fall into the realm of annoying but expected on a public forum of immature dipshits. When you start researching people's publicly available private information without their permission and then post it here, that's not fine.
