I wrote a couple of poems for my English class. (Five to be exact.) I thought I should share these with you, but as a warning, they're lovely-dove mushy. I figured this would be something more uplifting for a change of pace.
1.) ALWAYS IN MY HEART
I will always hold you in my arms
When you need me the most
But most of all I will forever hold you in my heart.
For everytime you look in my eyes,
I love you.
For everytime you kiss me,
I love you.
For everytime we speak whether its something or nothing,
I float higher than before.
We are perfect you keep me safe and grounded.
You love me and I love you,
A special connection.
I love you for you and just you.
Nothing can compare.
2.) EVERYTIME
Everytime I look at you,
I get this feeling I can't describe
It brings me to tears,
And lets out all my greatest fears.
All in all it's worth it,
I lay there next to you thinking
"I don't want this moment to end."
But, for the numerous times I want to say all of what I truly feel can't be explained,
To sum it up:
I do and will always love you.
3.) THINKING OF YOU
Thinking of every moment with you
Brings my heart to a pulse
Loving you...
Brings me alive,
Brings me to happiness I've never known,
Your love gives me life,
Your love gives me spirit.
I feel you.
I breathe you.
But to tell you this, I can't seem to,
All i know All I can do is :
I give you my undying everlasting love.
4.) WHAT IS ROMANCE?
Romance
Is it just a trick of the heart?
Is it something neither man nor woman can understand?
We see it
We feel it
But do we really know it
Our love for that special someone spawns from romance.
That one perfect moment captures your heart for eternity.
Is it reality or
Our we dreaming?
It all feels so real
Whether it's a dream or not.
Romance makes my world go round.
The question is:
What is Romance to You?
5.) MISSING YOU
"Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder"
That is true for some.
Some like the 24/7
'Cause of the comfort level with them.
Others can't wait to see another
'Cause of the absence.
For this college student:
I feel both.
During those school breaks,
My heart,
My body,
My soul yearns for you.
I miss you.
I miss being in your arms.
I miss plain and simply you.
I see you next and
Leap from your arms to your heart as you do to me.
This absence is pain.
To go away for the summer will kill me
From not seeing your face,
From not being held in your arms.
Call me a sap.
But from my loving you
With every ounce of my being:
I miss you more and more from the day we part.
