The second installment in the series of movies that changed my life forever : The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon. This movie stars legendary actor Tony Danza in the role he was born to play, a garbage man who develops incredible leg strength by kicking a lever on his garbage truck. Of course the premise of this story as with most other Disney live action movies is stupid and pointless to most people but if you allow yourself to enjoy it, you'll find yourself aroused, entertained and a better person when it's all said and done.
Danza's character of course sucks at first like all kickers do and then becomes good later when it counts. This is an incredible story of the triumph of the human spirit and how if you are a garbage man then you are fit to play in the NFL. The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon teaches us that you don't need years of training, just a strong leg and a bad accent and you too can play for the Eagles. I'm sure Eagles fans are embarassed at this movie but what they don't realize is that it gave hope to garbagemen everywhere that their field goal kicking dreams were not far fetched.
Things I learned from this movie -
You don't need to be in shape to play in the NFL.
The City Of Philadelphia can't afford to fix their garbage trucks.
All Philadelphia garbage men have super abilities.
Garbage men in general probably all have hidden super powers.
Tony Danza was robbed of an oscar for this breakthrough performance.
The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon was a best picture canidate.
As long as you say "Gee coach, I tried." you'll be fine.
Chris Berman can't act, even when casted as "Himself".
Alyssa Milano from 'Who's the boss?' is hot.
