This is only my second post, so hang in with me. And this is really a question. Not a lame excuse for a post.
I have never done drugs. I dont see why I should. I have asked "drugies" why they use drugs and all i get is "Because its cool". That doesnt say much...so i am asking you, ubersiteians, to tell me what makes using drugs so "cool". Or tell me what makes them "uncool". I just want to know because im confuesed on this. Dont get me rong, I dont dislike "drugies", they just confuse me, thats all.
If you acually review this let me know if you use drugs and what one(s) and what your experiances with it are.

I imagine because they like the way it feels to be high, which is precisely the reason I don't do drugs. I am afraid I will like it and not want to stop.

Actually,I'll just leave you with some really valuable information. Make sure your mind and soul are at ease before you step into any hallucinogens, and you're in a safe, mellow environment with a pitcher of cold water.
It makes about 58 dimensions of difference.

Why, you ask? To experience new things that nobody else ever can or will. To be able to walk down the street and think some guy asking you for the time is actually the grim reaper telling you "It's time". To gain a really deep understanding of who you are. To watch pieces on a chess board move on their own volition and begin attacking each other. Mainly just to get fucked up though. Not that I do them personally, of course.

I've sued lots of drugs but now I only use mushrooms and pot. Mushrooms are just fantastic in every imaginable way and terry mgenna did them for 30 years without side ffects because they are natural unlike lsd, mushrooms kick ass. Pot is pot what else can be said

Anyone who does anything solely because "it's cool" is destined to be a loser be it drugs, tattoos, music. Other than that, why does anyone do anything? As for playing it safe, well I guess not everyone has a sense of adventure but some of the best experiences in life involve venturing into the unknown.

Seems like a pretty geniune question...
I can't answer the question for heavy hallucinogens although I feel the answer might not be so different than the one I give you. I've never done anything other than marijuana. I guess my primary reasons for starting would be 'cause I was a sucker and my friends were doing it. Luckily marijuana's not addictive (like cigarettes...damn you nicotine!!), so it's not like I was sentenced to a life of tweeking and drug rehabilitation.
I still smoke weed. Quite often. And the reason I do it is for a release. It's relaxing and a great stress reliever in ways you can't understand if you've never tried it. I could come home and have a beer after work, but it's not the same as smoking a bowl. Plus things are much clearer when you're high: you can hear every little thing and you notice and pay attention to and laugh at things that you maybe wouldn't have noticed before.
I guess a more important question here is, if you've chosen never to do drugs and they're not directly affecting you, why do you care why other people do them?

It is, in fact, bad for your body; I know this.
What I was saying is that the bad effects come later in life, whereas the fun comes now.
I am well aware that in fifteen years, I won't be able to remember a damned thing.
I'll probably be a vegetable, but at least I had fun when I truly believed that I needed to have fun.

Good question, dude.
I've tried many a drug (in no specific order):
marijuana, alcohol, psilocybin 'magic' mushrooms, ecstasy, cocaine, crystal meth, special k (ketamine), ghb, acid, absynthe, hashish, opium, and, the worst one...tobacco.
Too many reasons to list why I've done them. Happy to say that I've done them all recreationally, but none because of a physical habit. Of the above, crystal meth, cocaine, and tobacco are probably the quickest habit forming drugs.
The coke and meth I've only tried SPORADICALLY (equates to < 2x/year).
I'm also happy to say that I haven't noticed any side-effects. Also, I haven't really experienced any side-effects from these drugs.

In my opinion peple dont do drugs cause its the cool thing, thye do them to live life , and they dont consider themselfes as druggies, fuck, most people grow out of it, they smoke a little weed pound a fuck load of beer in college or high school and move on with life. that said and done, there is no goddamn reason why not too. as i said before, its relaxing, its an expiriance , and its funny as hell that im typing this while sitting next to you. i may not smoke weed but is any one going to judge me for it? no they wont cause no one cares. when i come home i make myself a drink out of the key i copeyed to my dads liqure cabnet and thats that. and i even take speed when i need to stay up all night. but realy who ives a fuck, there is no bad drugs and good drugs, its like will said, every thing in moderation. An addiction, may requier you to quit the drug but untill then, have fun live life, your only young once.

As long as used responsibly and in moderation, most drugs are perfectly fine to do. Marijuana, in my opinion, is the greatest thing since sliced bread as it helps do so many things. Marijuana allows you to think differently, see differently, it calms you down, and provides virtually no health problems (when used responsibly and in moderation.) Anyone who does drugs because its "cool" should be shot and shouldn't have the privilege of doing them in the first place. People like that are the same kind of people who call rap music... pathetic.

Ok, I'll touch on some points.
First of all, it's spelled D-R-U-G-G-I-E-S. It's common sense.
Secondly, I do use drugs. You name it, I've probably done it. I'm not saying it's good or 'cool' to use drugs. I do it because I want to do it. It's not an escape from reality for me, it's just a nice, refreshing trip or buzz when everything feels good.
Lastly, on Übersite, grammar and spelling are very important. If you can't spell or you have no basic knowledge of the English language, don't post until you're SURE you went over it thrice.

I agree with the statment a couple posts below. Don't get confused by the politics of man made laws. There are things that are illegal in this country that don't deserve to be.
I'd stay away from anybody who does drugs because "it's cool." They're asking for an OD because they're doing it to impress. Hang with people who do drugs because they LIKE them. I believe 65% of Americans smoke marijuana. That's as much or more than those who drink on a regular basis. There's a reason for that, and it's not called addiction.
My advice to you is to try drugs with the right crowd, in moderation, get your feet wet and learn what's what for yourself. You might find yourself becoming an advocate for legalization before you know it.

Why do drugs. I can give you a reason why I do drugs. I am not sure if my reason is good enough but here we go.
To me doing pot is something like going to a amusment park every once in awhile to relax and hang out with friends. Sit around enjoy the visual and sound effects, the smells, and tastes. Smoking some really kind bud just makes you just sit around and wonder about the small things and the large things. I smoke because it's something I enjoy doing every once in awhile.
Now onto the next part.
Drugs like everything else are bad in huge quanities. Smoking pot everyday is just as bad as drinking heavily everyday. A joint a day won't hurt you just like a beer a day won't hurt you. So I really don't get why one is illegal and not the other?

Why not do drugs?
You only live once, and why not experience all that nature has to offer. Marijuana was put on earth for a reason. If you beleive in GOD, then he littered the earth with this useful weed for some reason and its sad that its illegal. ( see the movie GRASS for the real reasons why marijuana is illegal in the US, its scary and sad).
The right drugs, if done correctly and in moderation do NO harm to you whatsoever...its even been recently reported by Peter Jennings that the Drug E is not as bad as every claimed it to be, it is even being prescribed to couples in counseling. Funny, isn't it.
Drugs open your mind. And whats wrong with unlocking the mind. Nothing.
Again, certain drugs poeple should shy away from. Don't do CRACK. if it grows on the earth, partake. thats why its there. Weed, mushrooms, peyote.

I don't do drugs because I pretty much think I am fucked up enough without them. I have to take medication just to function "normally." And those meds are expensive, why would I spend money and take something to counteract them?
I have never even tried any illegal substances. Never been interested. Sure, sometimes people who are high or whatever are funny, but some people are funny without them. Some people are deep with them, and some are deep without them. I've just never seen anything about being stoned that makes it worth trying them.

You could just as easily ask why not do drugs.
What is a drug any way? Isn't a drug a man made thing that produces an altered state of conciousness? If you look at it that way, television, religion, books ect. could all be drugs.
But I know what you mean so I'll offer this website instead of talking about what I've done. I do plan on doing some posts on my experiences on drugs at some point but untill then check this place out.
