The Abu Ghraib scandal or what not up unto this point has not shocked me. Torture is wrong and all, but I could see some redneck soldiers doing it. The recent revelation of Pfc. Lynndie England having sex with "numerous partners" in front of iraqi prisoners is what truely disturbs me. There is something incongruent about this, it just doesn't seem to fit. Torture in war...ok, killing in war... ok. But sex with multiple soldiers in front of other prisoners? This is the first time i've felt surprised at what has happened, I've lost any semblenance of respect I had for the military. They better make these people's heads fly. And on the beheading thing...what do you expect if you give the insurgents an excuse to act out? Fuck Lynndie England, and fuck the miltary.

I don't know if terrorists are covered under the geneva convention. Maybe I was just being naive, but I expected war to be carried out seriously, not like this. Since i've never been in war i don't know the true depravity, but I just never expected something like this.
