I know this isn't really the place for "I know nothing about computers" questions but....
I can't log in at work anymore.
I always get a 403 security warning when I do.
The network guys at work don't think it's anything to do with them blocking anything.
Are they talking pish?
Does anyone know how I can get around this problem?
It's severely disrupting my ubering, being a random joe is rubbish and not being able to post means I actualy have to do work at work. Am I destined to only be able to post from home from now on?
In other news, the new zelda for the gamecube looks shit hot. Yay nintendo.

It's possible that I somehow blocked your work IP address on the server.
If you can still see http://boredatwork.com but not ubersite, that's probably the case. If so, go here:
http://whatismyip.com
and then send me your IP address so that I can see if it's in the block list.

Okay, can you still at least bring up the site uber? Just not log in w/ password?
If so, then your workplace's network has a filter preventing people from logging into non-intranet websites. This is actually common since most porn sites require you to log in to get the good stuff. This is what's known as a content filter and can be server-side software or it can be a piece of hardware.
If you just can't bring up uber at all, then your company has a filter that blocks certain IPs or may block the IPs directly. Either way, the network guys are blowing smoke up your ass about not knowing what the problem is.
There's only one good way to fix your problem at work, and that is to get admin priveliges at work and exempt your terminal from the filter's scope, which may be harder than it sounds. By the way those techs are trying to hide the truth from you, I don't think you'll be getting admin from them anytime soon, even if you offer a trade of sorts. You can always try to ply them, but it just might get you fired.
But look on the bright side, at least you'll be able to uber all the time!

I'm not a complete dipshit.
Only a partial one.

+2 because I love Zelda Windwaker for Gamecube and didn't know a new one was coming out.
But sorry, can't help with your computer problem. Good luck.
