Spy-ware has to be one of the most demonic things ever made. Today my computer got a virus on it, so I went and got rid of it and crap like that. Then I was thinking "Oh I have that Adware program! I should try it out and see how it works."
It went through all its scaning and came up with this huge list of adware found on my computer. I didn't really think much of it because this was the first time I had tried to get rid of all the adware on my computer. So, I deleted it all and went on my merry way.
When I went to check how much space I had left on my hard drive I found that I had two more GBs then before. Now that's all well in good because it's like getting two whole years of your life back so, I was happy. Then I started to think about. What the hell was two GBs of adware doing on my computer?! This is a bunch of crap. It should be illegal, but to all avail, it's not. Companies that use it and people who create it should burn just like the spy ware its self! When a person can have two GBs of adware on their hard drive, that's "over doing it."
Stick to advertising through the newspaper where people have a choice of whether to look at it or not. Don't just shove it on unsuspecting people just to make a quick buck. One last comment, FUCK YOU SPY-WARE!

I'm not sure whether to rate this positively for badmouthing spy-ware, or negatively for getting it there in the first place.

Firefox is ok, but there are better browsers yet. Explorer is just fine if you know how to set security up on your computer; no need to get new software - just learn to use what you have.
As far as getting this crap on your computer...well, I haven't had any in years.

Spy-ware isn't a virus, dumbass. So a spyware-remover wont take way viruses and Norton Anti-Virus won't take away spyware. Get the newest Norton you can buy and then get Ad-Aware from Lavasoft. It kicks ass, its completely free and it doesn't add in its own spyware!

I actually know quite a bit about computers but I'm not the only on using this computer. My roomates and I share it. It I had it my way we would be using much different programs, but I don't so I get screwed.

Hmm.. while I do agree, and that would normally warrant a positive rank, you are in need of education in the ways of the computer.
First off, there's this wee little program that will make sure you never have to worry about adware again. It's called 'Firefox' and it's a miracle worker.
Go ahead. Install it. You'll never use Internet Explorer again. You can thank me later.
Why ditch IE? Because that spyware/adware is installed using security gaps and problems with IE, such as allowing a bajillion popups and then allowing software to be installed on your computer through those popups, without your permission or your knowledge! Yay!
So be smart, and practice safe internet. It's a lot like safe sex, minus the whole difficult to open packaging.

First off, a computer is like a loaded weapon. It just so happens that it's so common, but then again, so are guns and drugs. That gives you two choices: Either you can educate yourself about computers, or you can just go around with a loaded pistol.
As a computer geek, I blame no one but *YOU* for letting spyware on your computer. Personally, I've used my current computer for 5 years straight, every single day, and probably much more then you did. But a few weeks ago, when I finally resolved to run adaware, it didn't find a *SINGLE* thing.

Ok fine solution spyware be illegal and anyone caught distributing it has their hands cut off and stapled to a wall. Also in response to the comment about stupid people downloading it, I agree about that type those people deserve it. The spyware I hate is the kind that you don't choose to download ever, it just does, without your knowledge.

I definatly agree, we have XP and i just cleaned out my brother's account because my computer has been going so slow, and there was like 418 found.... This shit is crazy, it just makes me not want to go to that site even more, or whatever they are doing.
