This is my life, im 16 years old just finished secondary school and I have a lot of time to blow. my last exams are next week and im so nervous that I havent been sleeping. This is the rest of my life in my hands. In a fool's hands. I havent revised because I know there's no use. I'm a failure and I admit it right now. Last year I was predicted either A*, A, or B for every subject. I will be lucky to get a passing C grade on most now. I have let my life slip away and I blame 3 things. This computer I am sat at right now, Drugs, and myself for letting it all get this far.

I currently have no girlfriend, and I'm still a virgin. But there's a girl I like who also likes me and I would like to be with her. There's only one problem, she has a boyfriend. Last night we met up when she was meant to be meeting him, she said she didn't want to because she had a headache. Well he found out and they had a row over it. As much as I love her I cant bear to see her distressed, if it means she is unhappy breaking up with him then I wont let it happen.

It's sunny outside I should really go out and play football or something but I am drawn to this mechanical monstrosity somehow. I have lost friends over this, but I have also gained friends. Not just ones I only talk to over the net but ones I meet up with a do stuff with, so its not all bad. a lot of the people on the net I can turn to when im down, but not the personal friends. On here I can open up and express my feelings with no nervousness. When people try to help out its great, when people laugh or flame its upsetting but I can turn away from it.

I have to go now, maybe when I can write properly I will submit something of real good value to this site. I have once, but it was completely overlooked. I spent a lot of time on it and was pretty disappointed when I got only 6 reviews I think...

Here it is feel free to read it if not then oh well.

I know plenty of unbelievably successful people who spend 15+ hours a day in front of a computer, so it ain't that.

Out of those three things you list, blame the second one for shit going bad. Get rid of that, and you'll give yourself a chance to fix everything else. You've got nothing but time.

I second Method's response... well, all except for the
coke part. You are 16, sweetie. You have plenty of time
to switch paths. Take up a hobby and see where that
leads...

Sorry to hear you've stuffed up the exams mate. However, I didn't do any work for my GCSEs and I ended up with decent grades. Wait until the results anyway. And like someone else said - there is still stuff that you can do without good grades. Might take you a while to get there, but that's the way it is.

If I could go back and give myself one piece of advice when I was your age it would be to get a guitar. I've only just started playing later on in life and I just wish had started at your age. Career isn't the most important thing. As long as you can do something that you half-like to earn a crust, all the best things are the free things anyway.

Good luck with the remaining exams. And do some work!

Life's a bitch when you fuck it up at 16. Learn from somebody else's mistakes, make sure that what you're doing makes you happy and know that it's never too late to turn it around. I guess you're English from the grades, and I assure you that it is entirely possible to make something of your life without GCSEs, A-Levels and the whole university schabang. Good luck kiddo.

I give you a +2 because it's never too late. You're so fucking young, to consider your life a failure now is the worst mistake you can ever make

What you have to do is destroy your PC. On purpose. With a sledgehammer or some sort of smashing instrument. Don't think about it, just do it. If you can't bring yourself to do that, bring it to a friends house and ask him to keep it there for a while, until you think you can handle it.

As for the drugs, do what I did. Snort a shitload of pure, uncut coke all in one night. You'll never want to touch drugs again.

As for the girlfriend, don't worry about it. Everyone goes through dry spells. Again, you're very young. In a few years, you'll be swimming in so much poon you won't be able to handle the smell.

Now go play some fucking football.
