Would you clip the wings of an angel so pure
Just for the sound of her dying scream?
Would you break the heart of the turtle dove
Or put out the flame of the sun's brightest beam?
Would you ground the faerie who dances on moonbeams?
Would you trap the hoof of the last unicorn?
Would you laugh in the face of the wretched old man
Who's heart you've so brutally torn?

Oh I have slain daemons, I've power for that,
And peeped at the minds of the ones I call Friend,
But ne'er would I use what I hold within me
For a vicious or brutal result at the end.
I am the elf who has danced in the moonlight,
Swam in it's path to the end of the sea.
Everything you harm is my lot to save,
But know it will come back to you, by times three.

For every angel who falls by your hand,
For ev'ry good creature ensnared by your trap,
For every crushed dream, for ev'ry foul act,
May the blood of your victory stay stained in your lap.
The guilt will come slowly, and eat from within,
Their spirits will haunt you by both day and night.
Remember my voice when you're gone quite insane,
You could have been saved if you'd followed the light.
