Since I relatively new here I am seeing a lot of anti-Tom posts going on. I was just wondering what did he do wrong? I took a look at some of his posts and yeah many seemed dire but is in not in your constitution that you can talk as much crap as you like....Free speech and all that....anyway that is a whole other post.
So what did he do wrong then? Oh yeah...what is this awesome post that earned him fame I am hearing about...he has too many for me to trawl through myself.

Scotsman, whenever someone new hits the "spotlight" of sorts, and there are "semi-new" users that havent' even though they've been here in some cases a LOT longer, then they give that person a rash of shit. It's jealousy, pure and simple.

Tom turned into an egomaniac following the great success of his P2P post, and seemed incapable of rating anyone else's post without condescension or retaliation. I thought this pretty immature behaviour at the time; however, I didn't know then that he was 15, so now, whilst I may not like such behaviour on anyone's part, I accept it as par for the course and don't rate his stuff unless I have a very strong opinion on it. I personally think that, as has frequently been suggested, to ignore all of a contributor's material just because you may dislike their behaviour is to do them a disservice: people realise the error of their ways, and to ignore everyone on here who has pissed me off from time to time would reduce the pool of viewable talent to nothing in a very short space of time.

well hell i'll be honest. i have a fairly full library of what i believe to be, if not anything else, pretty funny shit. i have 26 posts, approximately 9500 hits total which is about 6% of what his ONE fucking post has. to top it all off, he is 11 years my junior. so jealousy is my case. pure and simple, but i don't flame him unnecesarily. if the post sucks(grainy pictures of 3 plants? come on tom.) -2 to you. if its good then by all means he deserves a +2. i have accepted my role in this site which is to have an occasional hit (for me that is about 500 hits) and maybe a funny review or two now and then. nothing more, nothing less.

Tom wrote the MVM, the one about Peer-to-Peer networking. Since then, he hasn't done a lot really, apart from make condescending comments and make half-arsed posts about his garden. Oh, and he's 15, which seems to piss some people off.
