i've been feeling inspired by all of the poetry posts lately so....
here it goes
this one's for munkeypants i admire your work.
i feel the piercing eyes
that gaze into my mind
reading my thoughts
and fantasies
uncovering my endless lies
raging with anger
that accompanies my cries
seeing the fear
that quivers behind
all unanswered whys
reeling in my passion
not seeing
yet not blind
my blissful confusion
consumes the demon
that i hide inside
i rip out the eyes
that see too much
not all knowing
but still wise
until i rape him
of that reflective stare
whose cries were
also mine
and i also included a pic i recently took of the sunset on the beach

I mean that I've been seeing this girl for like 5 or 6 years now, and things probably started to go downhill after the first 2.
We each sort of lead our own lives, but like I said, it's a comfortable situation and it's convenient, so we keep going, almost out of habit.
She's the one person who's always there for me, the one person I know I can count on, and she knows she can count on me, but I don't know if that's enough of a foundation for a relationship.

Funny thing is, she's the only chick I've ever dated who didn't ask me to write a song for her.
So finally one day I just decided to do it out the blue and still no reaction.
I was like, Ok, some chicks appreciate this sort of thing and she was all like "well yeah, if it

What difference does it make if it gets played on the radio? I would think a chick would be glad

Yes, I have a chick. I hardly ever see her, and she has absoultely no appreciation for my music or my artistic side, (or anything else that interests me for that matter) but she's quick to leave me nasty messages and bitch when I don't answer the phone to remind me she's there.
