I actually know something about this process, having read about it in Bizarre Mag. This is an ancient filopino (?) remedy. It takes away the bad spirits. Whats done is this...a flammable vapor is put into the cups and ignite a moment before the cup is placed on the skin...the flame extinguishes all O2 in the cup creating a vacumn against the skin. Leaving the cups on for however long they do removes the bad spirit.
