I am young. ( and damn glad. )
I am white. ( I wish i weren't. )
I am male. ( good thing, I could never handle child birth. )
I am Impressionable. ( Even if I deny it. )
I am Independent. ( but i still get help from others. )
I am not opressed. ( Well...juest barely opressed. )
I am in love. (well, I think I am. )
I am smart. (Smart enough to understand whats going on. )
I am Broke ( But I don't go hungry or without shelter. )
I am Happy ( most of the time at least. )
I am from a functional family. ( And happy for it. )
I am literate. ( tahts rgiht i can reed. )
I am free. ( I can go where I want when I want. )
I am all of these things but I still complain about everything.
I hate my government but i don't vote.
I am intolerant of those who are different.
I choose to be ignorant of other cultures and people.
I still drink and do drugs to get rid of my "problems"
I assume everyone wants to hear my opinons and if their opinions are different they are wrong not me.
I blame others for my own faults.
I may be ordinary but I think the world revolves around me.
I offer biased opinions and pass them off as objective
I want to change the world but that would involve getting off my couch.
I care about the environment but i still use styrofaom and dont recycle.
I am a hypocrite.
I am the youth of America.

I enjoy bashing teenagers as much as the next guy, but that isn't fair. It's the exact same story as EVERY TEENAGER EVER. Assuming you aren't one yourself, think back. How concerned were you when you were 15? How honestly aware were you of others and their opinions at 13? Why should you care about politics at 16?

I am aware of the generalizations i am making, i know not all youth are like this, its just an observation on youth culture i'm obviously not going to say, "i am sometimes a hypocrite but only on occasion, sometimes im a really nice person who doesnt go against my beliefs," that would sort of detract from the writing wouldnt it?
