I've been busy trying to evict my roomate (who has stolen 3,000 dollars from me) so I have not had a lot of time for the science fiction saga I so desperately want to post! Below are the ship classes and specs for both the humans and the Drahaj'ma fleets. If I neglect any information pertinent to this list, I apologize, I can't sleep at night and I barely eat because of my stressful roomie situation and the fact that I'm now 9 grand in debt 'cause of that little fucker! But, I digress...

Enjoy!

Human Ships:

Transporters
Carry people/cargo from Earth surface to the Lunar Space Station and Mars colony. Not capable of interstellar travel due to the limitations of it's traditional propulsion system. Each can carry up to 200 humans.

Runner
Roughly the size of an 85 Crown Victoria, these small ships are typically found in pairs aboard larger vessels. Can carry 2-4 people depending on model. Capable of launching from planet surface. Limited distance of 1/4 AU. Became popular on Earth as transportation across surface. No sheilds, no weapons.

Solar Class
Can travel one AU (aprox 96 million miles) without refueling. Carries a crew of 10-15. Originally used for cargo transport between the Mars colony and the Lunar Space Station (LSS), but fitted with small weapons during the begining of the Drahaj'ma Conflict.

Star-Runner
Carries a crew of 30-35. Became the favorite ship of smugglers and terrorists due to it's unique ability to launch objects from it's cargo bays using compressed gasses stored in the hull interior. Several modified versions of the original Star-Runner were stolen from the LSS ship yard prior to the human exodus from earth. Propulsion system uses technology garnered from the Drahaj'ma fission/fusion combination reactor. Smallest ship to carry an AI.

Wanderer Class
Crew of 45-55, First ships to be fitted with ARGs and "pinch" propulsion. Used initially for exploration outside of the human solar system, capable of interstellar travel. Became the first battleships of the Drahaj'ma conflict. Fitted with high intensity lasers, an array of kinetic energy projectiles and conventional rockets.

Gypsy Class
First ship deliberately designed for space combat. Crew of 150-160. ARGs standard. "Pinch" propulsion standard. Integrated weapons systems. First ship to carry shield generators of controlled graviton beams, though most combat ships now carry similar sheild systems.

Nomad Class
Earth's largest class of ships. Carry a crew of 250-270. In many ways the Nomad can be considered the "aircraft carrier of space." Use both "pinch" and combination propulsion. Communications systems of tradional radio and advanced graviton beams.

Drahaj'ma Ships:

Kina Class
Similar to Earth's Runner class, but capable of flight between planets (up to 5 AU). Crew of six, no weapons. Natural Electro-magnetic shield to protect passengers.

Mansha Class
Also known as the "Blue" Class. Inate ability to launch from water as it's original design was intended for a submersible. Ideal for carrying supplies due to it's large rounded bays that run across the ship directly before the combination propulsion system. Crew of approx. 50.

Nisho Class
Also known as the "White" Class. First interstellar cruisers in known history. Carry a crew of 100-125 Drahaj'ma. Fitted with kinetic energy projectiles and high intensity lasers after begining of conflict. Drahaj'ma also used these ships to pull asteroids out of the Themis belt (the belt between Mars and Jupiter) and launch them on trajectories to interscept Earth. This attack technique arose from the fact that the Drahaj'ma had never developed conventional weapons until their conflict with Earth.

"Super" Class
The traditional name of these ships is not pronounceable. Crew of 200-300. First ships fitted with graviton pulse cannons. Enormous cargo areas allowed these ships to lay mine fields over one AU in length, and nearly three AU across only two years after the begining of the Earth Conflict.

Umaja'ran Class
Also known as the "Ultra" Class. Crew of 600-700. Feared throughout the galaxie for their immense size, although they were never fitted with weapons. The size of these ships allowed the Drahaj'ma to carry several years worth of supplies for the purpose of traveling long distances. Originally used for exploration.

(Afterthought, putting it here so I don't forget it) I have created a combination fission/fusion drive for the ships in the as-yet-unfinished-but-still-in-progress "Science Fiction Saga" with a "pinch" drive for jumping one AU at a time via controlled wormholes. Pinch two points in space together using the gravity of the nearest star (or other massive celestial body) to pull the ship through, rather than propel it. When jumping to areas in space with no massive bodies, the engines provide just enough propulsion to nudge the ship into the wormhole. The ships never move in a straight line toward their destination but it saves tons of power.

It's all theory anyway.

Golly Gee I hope nobody ganks my ideas.

Should I assume that 'pinch' is like warp drive? As that is a very good description of warp theory and not a hyperspace theory.

Yes, I can be a nerd sometimes.

So? Where's chapter 2?

Awesome. Always was a sucker for this kind of stuff. Great ideas and imagination. I almost feel sad that I asked to be killed in the fist part as it would be fun to see a character modeled after myself progress through this universe.

Handheld weapons come in a variety of classes;

Class one: Kinetic energy projectiles, traditional guns with traditional bullets, typically not used for on-ship combat due to the slim but very real danger of puncturing the hull and catastrophic decompression

Class two: small lasers with enough power to burn, but not enough to cut through flesh. A hit from one of these usually won't kill you, but it will take the fight out of you.

Class three: large lasers with enough power to cut through soft flesh and non-metallic armour. Handling of these weapons is dangerous unless properly trained.

Class four: neuro-toxins derived from biosources such as the box jellyfish contained in small darts, ideal for on-ship combat where armour is not used.

Class Five: general class for small explosives.

More to come I think.
