It is definately one of my pet peeves. Yesterday, I took my girlfriend out for a dinner in a nice, fancy restaurant. There is nothing more annoying in a restaurant than a group of middle aged women, cackling like witches and screaching like banshees loud enough that people in the next galaxy over could get a headache from it. Yesterday, this was the case.
Sitting with another party of two between us and this plethora of sharp noises, it was a terrible ordeal. The first time they acted up after we had arrived, a lady from the table next to ours gave me a look, and rolled her eyes in ire. Even two of the waitors smirked with discontent. It felt like a very long, very sharp needle was slowly penetrating my ear drums. This group of women seemed to be worse than most. I had absolutely no respect for them.
About the forth or fifth time they act up, I reach for a piece of bread that I was planning to soak in oil and catapult at them. Suddenly, I hear my girlfriend say: "Hun...are you sure those two sitting with your back to us are both women?" I look over in awe as I see the two women playing with each other's hair. Following this, the two give each other a sensual look and lock lips. My hand drops on the table with a thud as I look away from them.
It was a group of raging lesbians. From that point on in the evening, even though I found the sounds they emmited to be able to break glass, I had found a new respect for them. I even lost the urge to pelt bread at them. God bless lesbians.
