Why. Because they want to live by the laws prescribed in the Koran.
The Koran states that women who disobey men must be beaten.
The Koran states that infidels must be killed.

akrofiild: That first scripture in Ephesians later says something like "husbands also submit to your wives." I don't know much about the Koran, and it would be wrong of me to criticize it without researching, but I've heard a lot of explanation about the sexism in the Bible. I heard that in heaven, man and woman will be equal, as they were before sin. That's about all I know on that subject, though.

1) I never said Christianity was more righteous than Islam. In fact this is not a war between Christianity and Islam but a war between Western culture and Islam - a huge difference. And neither side is "right" or "wrong" but I was trying to show the reason WHY a beheading might happen.
2) The New Testament of the Bible does not permit a man to beat his wife. It may be considered sexist in parts but no where does it condone abuse. And all Christians who use the Bible as a means to beat their wives are using the Bible incorrectly (i.e. they are not following the idea of true Christianity).
3) The Old Testament of the Bible is crazy and should be left out of Christianity.
4) You are absolutely right about our society. I could write an argument showing all the times the U.S. government has fucked up ROYALLY especially when it comes to regime change.
5) The media is fucked up in everything it does. The more exaggerated and sensationalized a story, the more viewers the channel/publication/article receive, the more viewers, the more advertisers, the more advertisers, the more money. The media sucks big time. I feel like the media is showing off celebrities like it's highschool - NO ONE GIVES A SHIT that whats her face has an eating disorder!

And by the way if say Russia somehow had the balls to enter US soil (back in the day) we would be draging their corpes and fucking up their cities any chance we got. Yes. War is terrible. What happened is terrible. I won't blame anyone. Several hundred american soldiers died. And thousands iraquis died. That is just a shame for mankind.

the pictures i included hopefully reflect american interest. therefore, i didnt include the Bali bombing, Israeli attacks, Turkey embassy, or even the Kenya bombings (that was an American interest but....)
