Basically, this is a shameless self promotional plug.
I have an eighties Gibson Corvus guitar. It is a strange guitar. I thought even if you don't want to buy it, you'd like to see it. It plays great and is a cool collectors item. Bid on it!

awesome. never seen a corvus before, probably never see one again, but now ive seen the light. just kidding. it's actually kind of ugly. not as bad as some guitars though.

i'm sure i could get used to a Les Paul if i played it enough. i got used to playing friends' Les Pauls a little. oh, and if anyone checks out the Parker website, you have to watch the sound diagram videos. it's not so impressive on crappy speakers, just to warn you. it sounded cool on a Klipsch system, and then i listened to it on my laptop and it sounded like shit.
go to the link and click "Nitefly sound diagram" underneath the picture of the guitar-

True, Les Pauls are hard to hold at first (especially if you started out playing a strat type guitar) but after a while you get used to it, and I'm actually very comfortable with mine now, more so than my other guitars.

cool guitar. i personally never liked Gibson that much. the only guitar they ever made that felt right to me is the SG. i like those. i love the way a Les Paul plays, but i just can't hold the motherfuckers. i need something small and light. that's why i like the SG. plus, i think it looks cool. if i buy another electric, it's going to be a Parker Nitefly. those things are so bitchin'. i almost creamed my pants the first time i played one of those on a Johnson Millenium amp.
if you haven't checked out Parker before, you should. i've read through most of the website. it's very interesting stuff. http://parkerguitars.com/code/about/about_evolution.asp

Whatever you do, do not get a Kramer. Even though I love mine (my first guitar) I doubt anyone else would.

While we are all ranting......
I think PRS are overrated. They are good guitars, but I'm sick of seeing them everywhere. Most of the new bands playing them only play power chords, a total waste of a guitar. And although I'd love to have one, I don't have $2500 to plop down on one.
There is one guitar, one that matters...... The Fender Strat
Let me explain.....
No other guitar is as versital. I have strat, I replaced the stock pickups with better single coils and a SD hotrail, and I have no use for any other guitar. I can get any sound out of it. I do have other guitars, many of them, but the strat is my favorite. The strat is also prbably one of the best designed guitars of all time. It's ergonomic, functional and sexy. Very sexy.
Les Pauls are good too. Those Rainsong acoustics really kick ass.
Ok, so now you tell me why I'm wrong.

PRS sucks. If you like them check out the Quicksilver, it is better in every way.

Why don't one of you just make a new post.
"My guitar is better than yours"
It's not just the guitar, it's the person playing it.

Holy shit.
Two things.
I just called to hear the guitar, and wow.
1) The guitar sounds fucking awesome.
2) You're a damned good player.
