i'm up late again for the 3rd or 4th night in a row. i don't know why i stay up this late anymore. i don't have any reason to. i don't have any need to, i don't particularly want to. i just do. i can't seem to get myself to sleep before midnight these days.
you may notice that i don't very often capitalize anything at all, really. that's because when i type magnum opi, such as this, my fingers often cramp from stress of holding down the shift key rather than giving a quick jab to a single letter or punctuation symbol. perhaps others of you should take up this practice while you're -2ing me.
i know it sounds a bit stupid, but i think that if someone really got to the bottom of why i post crap like this, perhaps they'd realize why it is that i don't deserve a -2, but rather, 2 -1s. i stay up late fom force of habit.
i used to go out late and do things with my friends. since i'm only 15, and i don't have a chance of getting a license or permit anytime soon, i usually use my bike to get where i'm going. it's a manual bike, the kind you have to pump with your feet. i had to include that because so many children these days are getting "dirt bikes," or, "waste of resources," as i call them. you know the type, the miniature motorcycles geared low for children that run off an engine that couldn't power your lawn mower. but now there's a new breed of tiny 2-wheeled piece of crap. this miniscule contraption commonly referred to as a "pocket rocket," is a scaled-down version of what is sometimes referred to as a "crotch rocket," or, "likely to get you killed," if you ask my mother. she also doesn't want me to get a bird for some reason. but anywho, these things look like kiddie bikes, but i have seen unretouched footage of grown men not only riding them but, get this, professionally racing them.
i could go on.
but i'll try a different subject.
my cousin (et al) have dialup. well, i have two cousins who have the far superior broadband connection, but i'm not discussing them here. they are just as spoiled as i am. however, sometime in the coming month, i will be making a pilgrimage to my gandmother's house for a week, while my parents make a pilgrimage to mexico via carnival cruise lines, and i will most likely use her dialup (furnished by one of the cousins' fathers (my uncle, i know) who has broadband) to stay current here on uber. i am trying to get acclimated to this by running a lot of programs in the background, and on my ancient computer, this gives the effect of a slow internet connection, as well as a slow computer in general. it is slow. but i digress. i fear that dialup internet may be the death of us all, as more complex and useful software evolves on the 'net, it is hindered by the limitations of the mainstream consumer, ergo, the dialup user. my cousin, mentioned several lines up, has told me recently that he is downloading a game called pristontale (maybe one person here has heard of it). this is, in itself, unremarkable, however, he is using dialup, which instantly makes him a champion of diligence and determination. he was downloading a 500mb file, which, unless you become said champion, requires you to have your neighbor with broadband burn it to a cd. my quandry is this: i don't think windows update should be the only download that doesn't hold back because the majority of its end-users run dialup. hell, to download windows xp service pack 1, my father had to stay online for almost a week, but to download winamp, only 2 minutes or so.
my focus wanes, and my fatigue is apparent. i shall move on and let you finish these thoughts on your own while i dream up some new ones.
ps go ahead, give me a +2. i dare you. get flamed for being an empathizing insomniac.

I am the aforementioned cousin with dialup. I am this champion of diligence and determination because I have received all 500megs at a total of 28 hours of downloading spread across a total of four days. After several disconnects in the middle of the night (when I was doing the downloading), I have come to worship the getright software that pauses and saves the downloaded parts you have so you can continue later.
The entirety of the program is on my computer. Installed and ready to play. I even installed a new graphics driver (took another 26 minutes of download, and then 8 minutes to install) so the game isn't laggy. But, lo and behold, before I could unzip the driver, I had to download winrar to unzip the fucker because Windows sees a zip file and says "there are no files to extract". Fucking Bill Gates can blow my goat. Well...my neighbor's goat, but you get the picture.
So, after a total of 28 hours and 36 minutes, I have everything set up to play. Just one small problem: the registration form on the Pristontale website is broken. The dumb fuck who put together the form linked a java-scripted button onto the User ID form text box thingy. So, when you click the box to type in your ID, it opens a "Check ID" screen so you can check the availability of your ID. Needless to say, I am currently wallowing in despair, rocking back and forth in the fetal position listening to Evanescence blaring out of my computer.
But do I fear the end? No. I am a champion of diligence, and I support all that the Matchstickman does. He is acclimating himself to dialup. Until broadband is available in the country, I will protest broadband users for being better than me. Fascist? No.
But this gets a +2 because I haven't been to bed prior to 2:00AM for the past eight days.

Damn you, haters. Rather, haterz. Right? Isn't that the hip shit?
I can't sleep either. For about the past 2 weeks now, I fall asleep at about 7 am. I'm up today (4 am) because I'm awaiting my recruiter to take me to Maryland for an opthamology appointment. Apparently the Navy doesn't want you if you're blind.
Who knew?
+2 for insomniacs, and for me having dial up. Stupid computer. Stupid clock. Stupid, stupid woman at Wawa who can't accept $50's after 10 pm. Stupid whore.

+2 because it's too late to care.
And there's this thing called a caps lock key where you don't have to hold the shift key. It's great.
