As some of you that have been around for a while know, I'm a DJ in Memphis.
I haven't posted for while because I've been so busy. I've managed to land 3 regular nights a week between two clubs. One on Wed. on Beale Street., Fri. and Sat. at a super-club called Senses.
I just found out that Wild On E! is coming to Senses on July 10.
It also just so happens that the head DJ is going to be out of town that week and It looks like I'll be spinning the main room that night.
It's a huge club. I spin in the VIP lounge and broadcast to 3 sections of the club. Everything but the main room and the Martini Lounge.
Playboy is going to be there too...
I have to say, I'm little nervous. I mean, I've played the main room plenty of times,that's no big deal, but not for Nation television.
I may end up working the VIP lounge(where I would rather be anyway) and hand the main room over to one of our other DJ's that already spins main room with the head DJ. Playboy is suposed to have a couple of Models/DJ's playing. I'm not sure if they actually spin or if they just pretend while one of the resident DJ's plays behind them(I've heard rumor of that). It hasn't been decided yet.
I didn't post this to brag, more to just get some of this of off my chest because I'm nervous.
I'll let you guys know when it airs in case any of you are interested.
Did I mention that I love my job?

Oh yeah, something cool happened to me last weekend at Senses.
I got to meet Issac Hayes and John Singleton.
I thought I passed by a guy that I thought looked just like Hayes earlier, but he was short like me and I didn't think it was him. It made me think of SHAFT so when I got back to my booth I cued up the theme from SHAFT. Not 15 seconds into the song, Hayes and Singleton came walking into the VIP lounge with the owner, they loved it, It was awesome.

You know I almost made a post about Nat's wedding a couple of weeks ago, but my post fucked up 3 times and I gave up.
It was really nice but weird. She looked beautiful, everything was great except for the tornado that rolled through.
During the reception everything was going good, but just as I was about to announce them coming in I was told to change my anouncement.
I had to tell all th guests to move downstairs to the basement because there was a tornado in the area.
We all went downstairs to wait it out. They brought food and alcohol with us.
After about an hour things got back to normal, sort of until the belly dancer came out.
I have to say all in all it was very cool and very interesting.
