Hi Hey and Howdy Uberers! What I've got here is the first part of a script I've been tinkering around with after I saw the first Resident Evil, and had to be hauled away by cops for beating an usher unconcious. I figured with this one I'd focus on the actual downfall of the town as seen by by a slightly tweaked Leon Kennedy (RE2 for those not "in the know" or those "who have lives"). Granted this is probably illegal, but do you seriously think it could be any worse than House Of The Dead? So if yer intregued, read on...

(This is in my version of screenplay format, so please bear with me).

Resident evil 2, how raccoon city fell.

(Credits)

One week ago, an accident at the umbrella lab "The Hive" caused all the employees to turn into zombies. Bio-weapons were released by the facility's computer, The Red Queen. Only one person survived unscathed.

(We start by looking at the 3D map of The Hive, and we follow an exhaust pipe leading from one of the labs through some twists and turn, and all the way to a sidewalk grate set in the far end of an alley. You see very few people walking through. There are some homeless sleeping there, a few late businessmen taking a shortcut, even an old mutts growl at the grate. It's not an incredibly busy walkway, there are only about 5-7 people who are walking around the grate. Coming up from the grate are what look like heat fumes. As these become visible, one man steps onto the grate, Sid.)

(Fade out)

(Fade into Doughnut shop)
(Focus to a newspaper headline: Hiker Found. It goes on to show a picture of a crime scene in the woods. Below it is a picture of Leon with the headline, rookie cop helps solve murder.)
(Leon is startled into attention by his partner, Marvin)

Marvin: You look any harder at that headline and you're going to burn a hole in it.
Leon: Sorry, what's up?
Marvin: Domestic dispute on Cherry street.
Leon: Sid and Carol?
Marvin: Yep, lets saddle up.

(Camera, tripod: panoramic of front door to shop, and the cop car.)
(We watch as Leon and Marvin march grimly to he car.)
(when they reach the car doors, switch to tripod in back seat.)

Leon: So, what's the situation?
(Marvin turns on the car , siren, and speeds away.)
Marvin: Domestic dispute, the lady next-door heard shouting and screaming, so she called the cops.
Leon: In the middle of the day? That doesn't sound like them.
Marvin: Well, we got to check it out anyways.
Leon: You think Sid went to far this time?
Marvin: He always goes too far, if you ask me, but I think maybe Carol had a surprise for him this time.
Leon: The neighbor heard gunshots?
Marvin: You don't always need a gun to kill something.
Leon: Geez.
(They pull into 1408 Cherry St.'s driveway. When Marvin and Leon hit marks: Chase cam.)
(Leon and Marvin walk up the stair and knock on the door to the trailer home.)
Marvin: Carol? You there hon? It's officers Smith and Kennedy. Can we come in?
(Waits for a response.)
Marvin: Carol? Sid? Common, we know you're in there. We just want to talk over a few things.
(Waits half a sec.)
Marvin: Leon, go around back real quick.
(As Leon is about at the edge of the trailer, Suzy the neighbor walks over towards him.)
Marvin: Common Sid, you're scarin the neighbors.
Suzy: Thank GOD you're here! Something terrible happened!
Leon: What happened?
Suzy: Sid went psychosomatic again!
Leon: Where are Sid and Carol now?
Suzy: Carol's at my place, but Sid...
Marvin: What you got over there Kennedy!
(Leon and Suzy walk over to Marvin's side of the trailer.)
Leon: Ms. Denton, she says Carol's at her place.
Marvin: She alright?
Suzy: Just a scratch and a few bruises, but I think Sid's dead.
Marvin: She tell you that?
Suzy: No she just showed up at my doorstep all banged up and spaced out mumbling something about Sid.
Marvin: (deep breath) Alright. Suzy, you go back and look after Carol until we get there.
(Marvin and Leon go over to Carol's trailer and walk in.)
Marvin: Sid? Can you hear me Sid? You alright?
(They walk from room to room, and find Sid dead in the Dining room. He has a large knife sticking out from inside his head.)
Leon: Geez.
Marvin: Looks like we won't need an ambulance.
(They look around and see an over-turned chair, and broken picture on the wall, among other signs of struggle.)
Marvin: Call the Coroner.
Leon: (takes a real good look at Sid's body.) This doesn't look right.
Marvin: what do ya mean?
Leon: His skin looks weird.
Marvin: Well, that's what it looks like when you croak. Never seen a dead body before?
Leon: No.
(Leon moves closer to the body.)
Leon: Is it supposed to stink like that?
Marvin: (Moves in alittle) Woo! That ain't right! Then again, Sid was never the cleanest guy around. Hmm...Leon, tape the scene and meet me at Denton's. I'll call it in.
Leon: You got it.
Marvin: (walks off and starts to talk code into his shoulder mike.)
(Leon is all alone in the room with Sid. The camera pans from Sid's frozen left hand all the way up to his sullen bloodstained face then to his right hand, which seems to have a piece of Carol's shirt clutched in a deathgrip. We pan quickly back to his face like he's about to pounce, the camera shakes in anticipation yet nothing happens. )
(Leon takes one last look at Sid's body before he leaves to tape the doors.)
(Leon makes a disgusted face at the corpse.)
(Marvin is already at Suzy's door. She lets him in before he can knock.)
Suzy: She's over in the kitchen.
Marvin: Is she all right? Is she still mumbling?
Suzy: No.
Marvin: I'll call in an ambulance. Carol?
(Carol is standing in the pathway between the kitchen and the living room.)
Carol: (looking at Marvin and tearing up) He wasn't right. Not right. Something's wrong with Sid!
Marvin: It's all right Carol, Sid can't bother you anymore.
Carol: (gasps) Sid?! (collapses with grief.)
Marvin: (moves to the side and calls in an ambulance) ...and make sure that gurney has straps.
(Suzy goes to Carol and puts an arm around her and comforts her.)
(Leon opens the door and steps in. He looks at the situation with Carol.)
Leon: what do we do now?
Marvin: We get her into a chair, and wait until the ambulance comes.
(They walkover to Suzy' trailer. The inside is cluttered and a bit messy. In the kitchen we see that Carol is sitting staring into space. Marvin puts his hand on her shoulder, and the Camera zooms into one of Carol's spacy eyes, then zooms out into a whole other scene.)
(We zoom out of the black part of Carol's eye, out to the scene of yet another murder. The body of the unnamed man in almost completely mutilated, it looks like the flesh has gone through a grinder; he is completely eviscerated. We pan away to see the back of a shambling form rise from beside the body. As this form starts to shamble of into the woods, we see that it is not alone, and that there are 3 other things already ahead of him disappearing into the evening mists of the forest.)

not too bad at all. I think it could use a little more gore. I mean since it's not under any rules like the MPAA just go all out. Show the first attack scene with detail. Stuff like that but not too bad!

I made this script mainly for two reasons:
A) Resident Evil the movie pissed me off, I felt it was just an excuse to make a few new ways to kill zombies.

B) It was just made for fun, I never really intend to get this thing sold when (and if) I finish it. Just another exercise of my creative writin skillz.

Look up a real screenplay online, and see how it's supposed to be done. Also, come up with your own ideas. This is a waste of time as you will never be able to sell it.

Not bad.

Bart: So, like sometimes you can do stuff that you think is pretty bad
so other kids will like you better?

Homer: You're not talking about killing anyone, are you?
