This painting was originally going to be titled "Eternal Consumption".
It was started well before September 11th, 2001, but everytime I look at the planes flying above the buildings I think of that fateful day.
Not much has been done with it since then.

Surely it doesn't need anything more doing to it.

Hahahahaha, what a cock I am. Yeah I meant oil and acrylic. What a daft arse I am...
Sounds good. I only use acrylic. Or Tempara. It's like this gouache-type paint but it's a lot easier to layer and to adjust the viscosity.
Uh...anyway.

Wicked...although it doesn't look like a painting. It looks like it was done on a PC.

I wish I had talent. I can't even Google to find a cool painting to post.

What are you going to add next to the Latin for eternal? phthisis, or something of that nature?

sebcharrot: I assume you mean oil and acrylic... It's definitely possible to use both, although a colossal pain in the ass. I wasn't mixing them, mind you. You can't paint acrylic over oil, but you can paint oils over an acrylic underpainting. I traditonally use acrylic, and then just for the sake of experimenting (since that's basically what this painting started as) thought I would try my hand with oils...not a medium I'm all that confident using.

Oil AND canvas? Is that possible? What does one have that the other doesn't... and why use both?
I like the painting.

Weird, I had never heard of a Quintesson before. The painting started out with no meaning at all. It was just going to be loaded imagery. But I was living in New York at the time, and the painting kind of developed into a commentary on mindless consumerism.

I like it. It does have a little 9/11 feel, but.... what can you do?
Don't paint 9/11 on the empty banner, that's one thing.
