I'll keep this brief, I've been noticing a new trend towards cross advertisements and it's starting to piss me off. I was watching TV the other day and a commercial came on for the dumb ass move coming out, Alien v. Predator and it was combined with advertisements for a TNT movie on Evil Kneivel. What the hell does a movie about battling aliens have to do with a made for TV movie about a stuntman? This got me thinking and I recall during the NBA Playoffs seeing commercials for up coming games mixed with commercials for Lord of the Rings: Return of the King and going further back NBA commercials mixed with Incredible Hulk ads. What the fuck. Half the commercials I see I can't tell you what the product is until the fucking name comes on at the end. Has anyone else noticed this? Told you it would be brief.

This would have gotten a -2, but I agree with the sentiment. Last night while watching the Simpsons, I realized fully why I haven't watched their new shows in years. A cartoon promo for Joe Millionaire(or some shitty show) popped up on the screen. Homer glanced down, noticed it, then ate it. After the 'Mmmmm, promo', he spit it out and said 'Ewww, Fox'.
What was funny about that? Besides intruding on a (formerly) great show, you're blatantly telling your audience that you care more about advertising some other shitty show than making the Simpsons watchable.
I cannot accurately describe how much I loathe the people at Fox, nor articulate how the decline of the Simpsons pisses me off so much. Instead I'll just say this:when Family Guy comes back it had better not suck.

It's called a marketing synergy. Congrats on picking up on it, if you would really like to know what's going on I suggest you read 'No Logo' by Naomi Klein. It will make you sick to your stomach--it covers the superbrands of our time, GAP, McDicks, Nike, Levi's Coke etc. from manufacturing to marketing and all the profiteering in between.

What makes me mad is going to the movies, paying eight bucks to get in, and having to sit through commercials for razors and perfume and shit. What the hell? I know there's product placement throughout the whole movie, that's okay, it doesn't really bother me. But sitting through a damn commercial when I paid to be there? The point of commercials is that you watch their shitty ad, and then you get to watch something for free or cheap. It would be like seeing a commercial on HBO, that you paid out the ass for.

Yes this is brief but the run-on sentences and lack of formatting make it hard on my eyes not to mention this was totally devoid of anything interesting. Sports are good you should write more about them because most people like sports but that stuntman is just an old jerk with no life except for crashing in Las Vegas near some whacked out fountains.
