I was looking around ubersite the other day, reading some of the older posts by the more long-running authors, like Matt Maiorano (my personal favorite). Maybe it is just the fact that I only happen to read the best of the uber past, but it seems like maybe it was a little easier back then. Less complicated. Back when there weren't 10,000 users. Sadly, I hadn't joined yet back when Ubersite was young, but if I had known about it, I would have. I see posts about how ubersite is getting fucked up by all these people joining and just posting random shit because they can. If it isn't too much trouble, I would like to know how it was back when Uber was young, back when (at least it seems) only the uber people could join the uber site. And if it was just as screwed up as now, if my dreams of how it must have been are wrong....then oh well.

I remember being picked on just a bit for being user 4152. That wasn't very long ago either; things change over time. Users will come, other users will go. Best get used to that though, it will never change.

Ubersite is better than it used to be. It's better today than it was yesterday, and it'll be better tomorrow than it is now. This site is about content. The more users the better, I say. Even if some of them suck, a lot of them don't. And with every new good user the site gets better. With every new bad user nothing really changes. You just have to filter through more crap to get to the good stuff that doesn't come from someone on the MVA.
