Dear Mom,
Ubercamp is fun. Its been a week since I left, but it has been a whirlwind of a time. The people are awfully nice, as long as you follow the rules of the camp.
The food is better than expected for a summer camp. Fetish™ is in charge of the cooking, and hasn't disappointed.
The camp director, Bart, has yet to be seen, and I hear he is a nerd.
There are several classes I can sign up for during my stay. Hit whoring for Newbies is run by Snuggles_the_Assassin, and it looks to be a fun one.
Creative writing is headed up by Smurfs and Sideburns. I think Method is a TA for that class too. I tried creative writing once, and I may try it again. I don't pretend to know what I'm doing, but I like to do it.
Copy and paste class was quick, as Brianthetruthspeaker just photocopied the syllabus and left.
The Spam class is annoying because they don't really have a set time. Tuesdaydelay and Cystmaster show up in the middle of other classes and try and teach while you're involved in something else.
Personal accounts posting is my favorite class by far. It gives me a forum to express some anecdotes of my own. Lojope Matt Mariano, JMG114 and Comicbookguy seem to have this class down pact, but I hope to carve out my own niche.
Quite a few people are in the Armed Forces, so I feel more comfortable here than I thought. Blitzkrieg BOB, FATMANTPK, Hidden 101, AlahAckbar, and sunjunkie04 all seem to come from a military background.
Spedmonkey's expose on the Boston Duck Race made me want to do some investigating reporting myself. I'm sure once I find some dirty little secret, I'll rival his skills in the news realm.
At night time, we have movies. Donitsu2002 has us watch the best movies that hes seen, and they usually rock. GO DONITSU, WOO!
There are many more people I would like to meet, and I hope my reception here will remain warm and welcoming. I just have to remember my roots. When times get tough, write about the Klutz.
I love it here, Mom. I can't wait to see what next week brings. I'll see you soon.
