Lately, I have noticed a general increase of pointless posts. Oddly enough, they all seem to come on Thursdays. Also, they are all labeled clearly in the title: "SPT", an acronym, as we all know, which stands for "Shit Post Thursday."
At first, I thought to myself "These posts are obviously not very good, so I won't waste my precious time on them." But, because of their abundance, I found myself reading more and more of these "Thursday Shit Posts." As could be expected, most of them were, indeed, shit. MOST OF THEM.
It is my firm belief that shittiness cannot be confined to a single day. So why is it that "Shit Posts" are always mass produced on Thursdays? Do users have lower standards for themselves on the day before Friday? Or are they just harder on their own posts on Thursdays? Why is there no Shit Post Monday? What about Shit Post Wednesday?
I believe that MOST of you are intelligent people. Because of this, there is no reason to apologize to me about a shitty post before I even read it. I'll be the judge of what I think is shit and what I think is non-shit.
I guess I just don't understand why someone would post something that he or she knows is, even labels as, shit.
Enlighten me, please.

Isn't it funny how people start fads on ubersite. All I've seen for the past two days is "SPT". I think it's really annoying and stupid. This is like high school all over again, but without the drugs.

Actually, some of the SPT posts I've read have been very good. Even when they are labeled "SPT." So maybe it's just for tradition's sake?
Oh and come back to your Ann Arbor post.... I looked at it again randomly today and all sorts of crazy Michigan people showed up. It makes me so happy! People actually live in this state! (Who would have thought?)

SPT got out of hand yesterday. I'd propose a new world order on uber where people don't review the shit posts, and if you see posts with few or no ratings, you know its a shot post of one to avoid.

I thought ReallyBored came up with Shit Post Thursday, Method. Matt just implemented it into an actual celebration of sorts. I thought. I could be wrong. I think. Also, there is 17 more minutes of shit to be had, it's still Thursday in Louisiana. And we may be a small stinkhole of a state, but we count too.
I made a shit post last night and it made me happy.

SPT came about a little while back. One thursday, a certain user, named DJMatt, noticed that there were alot of shitty posts on that day. No reason, just happened to be on a Thursday.
He uttered the infamous words in a review.
"What is this, Shit Post Thursday?"
The rest is history.
It disappeared for a while, because some of the "elders" started complaining that SPT was fucking gay, and needed to stop. And then recently, certain users like myself (yes, im taking credit for bringing it back) thought it would be funny to revive it. Since we've hit the 10000's, and the immature idiots outrank the uberelders and generally mature uber audience, SPT has exploded like a wildfire and taken over.
But please, it's not Thursday anymore.
Do not speak of SPT until next Thursday. Mmmkay?

For me, it's SPM (Shit Post Millenium) as all of my posts are pure, unadulterated shit.
Just look at some of them...
My motivation for posting shit is an emotional catharsis not unlike the pure pleasure that comes from that rare occasion when you wipe after shitting and the tp is clean.
