Holy fucking shit...they kicked ass.
So I decided I must go see Pigmy Love Circus, Danny Carey is the drummer and I had just heard Pistelero Sleep (kicked ass). I head down to The Rave and buy my ticket, watch the opening acts with a friend, and to my surprise PLC was going to be playing the bar stage (much smaller area) so I was pretty stoked (closer to the band).
The opening band was pretty good, everything was going smooth until some assholes just start yellin' at the band, wanting PLC to come out. So they eventually got told to suck the singer's cock and shut the fuck up, so the assholes went to the bar to go drink some more (they were fucking gone as hell). So the band finishes up and the assholes come back, one guy leans his head on the stage and looks like he is about to puke all over the equipment. Some random guys chuck cd's at him...comedy ensues.
PLC comes out and starts playing and those assholes run into my friend Nate, who throws both of em on the ground, so they try and double team him, but one of the guards throws one of the guys out, and the guitarist from PLC tells the "ladies to stop fighting". Well, about halfway through their set we notice the short guy is back and starts pushin people around and being an ass in general (there wasn't a pit, and this guy was throwin punches) so he bumps into these two dudes who were about 6'5 each, and starts fuckin with em. Finally one of the guys just knocks his ass out with one punch and we are free to rock out to one of the best hard rock shows I've ever seen. We convinced the guitarist to give us one of his heinekens, so that was pretty good, cuz it was fuckin hot, and I wasn't losin my front of the stage spot.
The singer kicked ass, he walked onstage in overalls and kept pickin up props like guns and masks and walked around choking his bandmates. Their cover of 21st century schizoid man was better than the original and I got their set list. So next time you guys see them touring, check em out.

PLC is not like A Perfect Circle or Tool, they are more straight ahead Hard Rock. They fuckin rocked. Their recorded songs are good, but nothing like hearing it live. Whoever said they sucked is probably one of those elitest dumbasses. Just because they aren't the same genre as Tool or APC doesn't mean they suck, it means you are one of those close minded fuckheads who give Tool fans a bad name.

i have to admit i havent even heard them. i saw apc in orlando in may, that was really nice and i've seen tool, how similar is their music to those bands?

I saw PLC. They were the opening band of A Perfect Circle last year. They fuckin' sucked. Especially the singer with his antics that were ridiculous and pathetic.
Everyone was screamin at them to get off the stage.
It was a shitty "experiance". APC rocked though.

i love being down in the pit at a good show. i just saw 36 Crazyfists (fucking AWESOME band) with Kittie (they are ok... the bass player is cool as hell), and there were these two guys fighting in the pit. they were both quite a bit larger than me. one of them had his shirt off, and he was quite ripped, and he was trying to fight this other guy that was doing nothing but trying to enjoy the show. he was trampling people trying to get to this guy and people were getting hurt. i grabbed his arm and yelled, "stop, you're fucking hurting people!" and he decided that it would be ok to say "fuck you!" to me, since he was about 200lbs and ripped and i'm about 160 and scrawny. big mistake. i landed a punch straight to his face and knocked him on his ass, and i'm pretty sure it knocked him out. i can't say for sure, because the crowd swallowed him up after he hit the ground.

ps- you motherfuckers need to see 36 Crazyfists if they come through your town. they've been a favorite of mine for a while, so i'm glad i got to see them. they are incredible live. and remember, kiddies, if some asshole is trying to give you shit, fuck him up. don't take no shit from anyone. don't worry about getting your ass kicked. it happens sometimes. it builds character.
