This post originated as a response to http://www.ubersite.com/m/39978
It however became far too long for a response and is thus being posted as a separate post.
Enjoy, or fuck off. Whatever
**What the hell is going on in this country? **
Far to much to be encompassed in as short a post as this.
**I need to vent, so here goes... **
Everyone deserves that right. This may not be the smartest place for an intelligent conversation, but it's Uber, and that seems to me the majority of what is on here, aside from hitwhores and shenanigites.
**!I am sick of all the crap.! **
Apparently
**B.E.T., welfare, gay pride parades, the Atkins diet...when will it end? **
When everyone realizes that or country was based upon the fact that "all (people) are created equal" at least in theory and barring any colloquialistic snafus (referring to mankind as "all men".)
**I believe in one thing... **
I hardly believe that you will truly be ably to encapsulate your entire belief structure into a single object, but I will defend to the death your right to try.
**LIFE IS UNFAIR - DEAL WITH IT!!! **
Duh.
**Here are some questions with that in mind: **
What the fuck happened to one thing? You lie.
**1. Do you think radical Islam will ever stop its war on the West? **
Well, the simple answer would be no. "Radical" Islam is pretty much by definition at war with the U.S. Not all Islamic people fall into the "radical" category, but barring the utter and complete annihilation of the Middle East, there will always be radicals, and they will always be at war with us. Much as many "Radical Christians" could be said to be at war with progress in general. One could also ask "when will the world quit classifying itself into west/east/middle east and just fucking get along?"
**2. Democrats want to steal from the rich and give to the poor - is this right? **
No, not when you oversimplify it that much. Honestly I think everyone should be given some basic rights, a back up feature in case of failure, and pretty much be left alone to succeed. If you are utterly incapable of becoming a contributing member of society, then you should suffer a form of economic Darwinism and politely excuse yourself from the gene pool.
**3. When will women/minorities/homosexuals/etc stop blaming "the man"? **
When will people realize that at the heart of everything, we are all pretty damn near the same and stop worrying about segregating others into such classifications? When will people stop bitching about another group and realize that for the most part, their problems are the posterity of their own actions and choices?
**4. If it's all in the genes, isn't dieting a waste of time? **
Genes are a part of the equation, but not the whole thing. Dieting really doesn't do shit for people either. Stop starving yourselves, but don't think of it as a waste of time to lose weight. If you are horrendously overweight then stop eating at McDonalds, cancel the cable, get away from the computer, and in general get off your slothful ass and do something active. I'm not saying go to the gym an hour a day, I'm saying don't sit on your ass eating french-fries 18 hours a day.
**5. Isn't it hypocritical to be pro-abortion and anti-death penalty/ anti-gun? **
I can't really answer this one for you. I am pro-choice, I would never have the audacity to claim that any woman's body should be controlled by a decision of mine. I don't like the idea of an abortion, however I do think that they are an important tool in the war against poverty and can be damn near a necessity in avoiding the suffering inflicted on both the unprepared mother and the unwanted child. However, I am pro-death penalty and pro gun. I say anyone proven to have committed atrocious crimes of passion against the undeserving e.g. unwarranted murder, rape, and letting idiots keep their money, should be separated from their ability to influence the planet by way of active participation, or polluting the gene pool. I also think that the intelligent use of guns by the general population can be a major contributing factor to the lowering of crime. Note I said intelligent use.
**6. Why are we not kicking illegals out of this country? **
I think we should. However, I also think that there are a lot of legal people who should be kicked out as well. Why not remove the imbeciles as well? What about the leeches and those that have proven themselves incapable of being a contributing member to the nation and the world as a whole?
**7. Why are we so un-educated for an industrial nation? (Thank God for Spell-check) **
First off, if you are ill-educated in this country, there is no one to blame but yourself. I have been working my ass off since I was young and I am paying my own way through college. Yeah it's hard, I barely make ends meet sometimes, I am often deprived of sleep, and from time to time simply too poor to eat for a while. But regardless, I am driven and I am going to make it through. The amazing lack of education that can be seen in a portion of our population is due to apathy. Education is simply not a big deal to most Americans. Look at how little we pay our teachers, but how much we pay politicians, movie stars, and sports heroes. It is quite obvious that we (as a generalization) value bickering, entertainment, and childhood gaming far above education.
**8. Isn't it wrong to be taking God out of the school and putting condom machines in? **
Why is god in the school these days anyways? Why not stick to provable facts and belief systems that promote collaboration for a better humanity rather than blaming all of the worlds ills on a deviant deity with a built in "mysterious ways" clause to excuse any and all blundering? People are going to have sex. Kids are going to have sex. It is one of the main things our bodies are designed to do. I would much prefer to rely on education about safe sex, and easy access to birth control, rather than the fear of some invisible father figure who's existence is debatable, to stem the flood of STDs and teenage pregnancy rampant in our world today.
**9. What is with environmental and animal activists? They are just plain, fucking wacko? **
You know, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I personally think baby animals look tasty and that vegetables are what food eats. Yes some of them are "just plain, fucking wacko" as are some anti-choice protesters, some Muslims, some Christians, some whites, some blacks, some Jews, some Americans, some Canadians, some republicans, some democrats... hmm... damn near every fucking classification of humanity that your bigoted little mind can come up with in its attempt to segregate the population.
**10. When confronted with facts, why do liberals resort to name calling? **
I'm a conservative. You are a fucking pinko bleeding-heart, whining asshole. You do it, I do it, They do it, Everybody does it. It can be fun and cathartic.
**I am hoping for some intelligent responses and look forward to a stimulating debate. **
Honestly, instead of wasting your time hoping, you could have simply showed a miniscule amount of intelligence in your original post, and I think you would have gotten much better results.
**Thanks and God bless. **
I swear sometimes, I must be the only right wing agnostic in existence.

+2 for being even remotely coherent while talking about politcal matters, something that quite a few people are incapable of doing.

well Zandy, I tend to believe that everyone needs to take care of themselves and stop blaming everyone else for their problems. I don't think that when I work my ass off for money, I should be taxed to hell and back so some lowlife slacker can sit around doing nothing and getting welfare. I also don't think we should be forced into affirmative action, that is noting but treating people differently because they are minorities. I am also pro gun and pro death penalty. From what I see, these all tend to be stereotypical "republican" or "conservative" stances. Truthfully I don't really classify myself as one way or another, there are simply things I believe and things I don't.
I only said I was conservative in order to call him an asshole for saying liberals call names. That was meant to be humorous.

Melkor - based on what you wrote, I think you fall into the "liberal" category, not the conservative.
That being said, I TOTALLY agree with your comment:
When will people realize that at the heart of everything, we are all pretty damn near the same and stop worrying about segregating others into such classifications?
Why not take it one step further? Why classify people into liberals and conservatives? I've always felt as though my beliefs don't really fall into any category - my beliefs stem from question "what is good for all people?" Not just a certain population of people, a particular religious group, a political group, a business, a country or a group of countries...ALL PEOPLE!!!
I think if folks started asking themselves that question, they'd probably find some answers about life. When I ask myself that question, it always comes back to "the golden rule."
My 2 cents: we need to let go of our selfishness and become more selfless - and only then will we be able to see past our differences and discover what truly connects us all.

Answering rhetorical questions is supposed to be ironic and in turn funny.

This was a reply. You shouldn't post a reply on the front page. This isn't even a reply that could stand alone. You had to link back to the original post for this to make sense. As far as I know, there is no limit to how long your replies can be. If there is a limt it is much longer than this "post".
In your "post" you answer rhetorical questions. That pisses me off to no end. I'm sure the other author didn't actually intend for someone to list everything that is currently wrong with the world.

Not really stranger. However, I did enjoy reading some of the responses and figured what the hell. I can sit back and ignore it, or stir things up and try to make someone think a little bit. If I look like an asshole, but if this brings a single person to have a single independant thought, or even a simple laugh, then I am happy with myself.

queen, is there something in this that is particularly ungodly? I really dislike it when someone attempts to verbally bitchslap a post, yet fails to mention even a single part of it that they disagree with or find distasteful.
One of the major points to this post was:
Don't post stupid rants without backing up your fucking argument!
Hmm... a concept that much of uber seems rather incapable of.
I accept that my opinions are not mainstream, however I would much rather have someone say something completely retarded with a good explanation, than make a sane argument with absolutely no evidence of a thought process involved.

Meh. All 'points' were addressed, but it really wasn't worth responding to, was it.
