And it wasn't too long ago.
I was getting off a city bus.
The bus had pulled over at a stop with a bench next to it.
Lying under the bench was an empty fifth of cheap Vodka.
Lying on the bench was a bum, his clothes practically soaked in booze.
Hanging out of his unzipped pants was his dick, in plain view of everyone.
Falling out of his dick was a steady stream of urine, furiously foaming on the sidewalk.
This 'economically disadvantaged' individual was out cold, mouth gaping, tongue lolling, eyeballs rolling frantically behind purple lids.
There were women and children nearby, cringing in horror upon seeing this awful sight. At that moment, I really wished I had a flamethrower.
I had no choice but to walk away, since the far-left scum that holds sway over this city has far too much sympathy for the dregs of our society and have put limits on how much the police can do in situations like this. In any other part of the country exposing yourself is against the law. Here in California, it's part of the scenery.
In retrospect, I realize from the smell of spilled alcohol that his clothes were a spark away from immolation.
Flicking and tossing my Zippo probably would have had the same effect.
Another missed opportunity.
