Every morning at 6:00 on the dot he starts again. First I get the feel of soft fur against my face, to which I give no response. Then because he's impatient I usually feel the sharp nail on my ear for a slight moment. This wakes me up grumpy and I look at his face. Who could resist the curiousity in his eyes and the purring meant to show me he's happy BUT HUNGRY!
If I'm not too tired I get up, put my robe on and walk to the kitchen. Usually I'm in a daze and I've tripped over him at least four times because he walks right under my feet as I'm stumbling to the refrigerator. Morning time is his favorite time to eat because he gets the canned food he loves so much. And because I spoil him terribly I even heat it up for him in the microwave....I know....it's ridiculous, but he won't eat it if it's cold. The entire time I'm doing this he's climbing up my clothes practically clawing my legs. I can't wait to get his nails cut!
If it was a late night and I'm still sleepy I ignore him after the initial nail to the ear making him even more "violent" and he starts jumping over my body back and forth and attacking my feet. He's got some sharp little teeth and claws so I can't take this abuse for long. I would yell at him but he thinks I'm playing when I do that and just gets even more rowdy. Sometimes I lock him out of the room so I can sleep that extra thirty minutes but then the crying starts. The way he cries you would think someone was beating him to death. It's pathetic and I can't stand it because it makes me feel guilty as hell.
I get ready for work with him at my feet the entire time. As I leave for work he watches me from the couch. He sleeps pretty much all day and when I get home he's always waiting in the same spot..right where the carpet meets the tile..with a look like he's ready to play. Then he's crazy for the rest of the night until he passes out cold on my pillow, leaving just enough room for me to lay my head on the corner he's not occupying.
And we start all over at 6am.
He's too cute and he charms me to death. He's my kitty...Rocky.

I had a cat/kitten just like that growing up,
except he was a 100% Seal Point Siamese and we named him "Spaz" for appropriate reasons. We even let him out of the house once, literally for 10 minutes and mind you no claws he caught and kill a bird. God that cat was great!
