Every weekday morning at approximately 10:00 AM Eastern Standard time, a dark cloud of drama, hormones and teen angst descends upon my living room. For two entire hours, I am strangely drawn onto my couch and find myself staring listlessly at my television. What can draw me in, so powerfully, like an ant sucked into an industrial vacuum cleaner? What is this strange force?
Dawson's Creek reruns.

That's right, Dawson Creek reruns.
Whatever causes this strange phenomenon, and it is a phenomenon... I'm just not the Dawson's Creek type, it is powerful enough to keep a cynical girl in her late teens, like myself, seated in the same spot for two entire hours. There is no avoiding it. I even find myself looking forward to the next episodes.
I tell this to you all to prevent you from the same fate. If you, like me, are ever late morning channel surfing and happen to stumble upon a late nineties syndicated show about teenage love, CHANGE THE CHANNEL. Do not allow yourself to even be the SLIGHTEST BIT curious about the plot. It will only suck you in.
As for me, it's too late. I've already been helplessly drawn into the dramatic lives of Dawson, Joey, Pacey, and Jen.
