This morning as i drove to work, i was accompanied by krekelbinkie....(a brave lil cricket)...a name i gave it. He was quite a tough one, as i drove on the highway with about 150 km/h (that's about 95 m/h) it held on tightly, and when slowing down to about 100-120 km/h (do the math!) it even walked a bit over my windshield-whipers.
It remained there during my trip from home to work, all the way, just dancing to the music (ok...ok, maybe it was the wind)....and just beeing quite the adventurer! Now i have a few unanswered questions, because krekelbinkie couldnt hear me because i was in, and he was outside the car (else i'm sure hed answer them!):
- Why is he moving from a great place like Amsterdam, to a silly city like Utrecht?
- What are his motives? Is he going to start a new and elite Amsterdam-cricket-movement in Utrecht?
- Where did he get this strength to hold on to my car like that, is he the cricket-schwarzenegger?
- Do crickets get colds, and if they do....do they whipe their noses with tissues?
- Will he drive back with me at the end of the day?
I don't know if these questions will ever be answered, and this frustrates me a lot. But whatever happens, this lil cricket's determination has made my day! Krekelbinkie, i salute thee!

Shenanigans...no...sorry to disappoint you! I could start with the way the road is set up, the traffic indicators, the direction signs, the license plates etc...this was taken in Holland, near Utrecht, this morning. The only thing that was not true, is that i actually did not drive from Amsterdam, but from Purmerend, but i don't reckon anyone knows Purmerend (20km from Amsterdam btw).
You have to accept the fact that there are crickets out there, with such strength, combined with determination, that they would be able to kick our arses if they wanted to! (instead they hitch rides for free, the cheap bastards ;-))

Funny but i have to call shennanigans. On the wildest police videos this was one of the tapes that made it to air. Doesnt say much for that month of criminal catching, but it does prove that you are pretty good at making up stories. and by the way the cricket jumps offs the car about five seconds later.

And, well it didn't come back home with me. Maybe it's my driving it doesn't like, i don't know... I just hope the Utrecht crickets won't make fun of it's accent, and will be accepted swiftly. Then again, maybe there are no crickets in the area i work, he'd be lonely.
Anyways, i wish thee well mr. Krekelbinkie!
