All of us here are generally the same. We live in developed countries, we're middle class, and we all are trying to find our place in the world. I don't think I would be wrong in saying that we like to feel unique, special and gifted. We watch intellectual movies, we listen to underground music and we read and write on ubersite in an attempt to seperate ourselves from the norm. Though we yearn for individuality, we all have our idols and heros. These people are the ones that either represent what we'd like to be, or the part of ourself that has managed to thrive as an individual in a massive, generic world. It's simply natural for us, it gives us both hope and determination to improve. The computer whiz high school drop-out has Bill Gates. The hopeless romantic poet who refuses to conform has Leonard Cohen. The housewife with big ambitions has JK Rowling. The depressed teenager has too many to name...most notably Kurt Cobain. The high school sports star has every member of the NBA. As I said, these people can serve as either the tangible realizations of our own goals, the embodiment of the traits you would like to possess, or simply someone that you can wonder about. Wonder what it would be like to be so different from who you are. To be so attractive, talented and loved. To have such different experiences from the ones in your own life...
That's where Antonio Banderas comes in. My fucking hero.
Sometimes I just can't help but think, and be dwarfed by the size of life. How enormous our lives are to ourselves, and how small they are in comparison to the universe. When I'm thinking, and realizing how small and mundane my own life is. I just am so envious of everyone else. I want more than one life. There's not enough time for me to do all I want, and sometimes it's not just possible. And before I go on with all these feeble intellectual yearnings, let's just clarify something. When I talk about not being able to do what I want. It's not something like curing a terminal disease, traveling to obscure parts of the world or conversing with geniuses not of my time, or anything like that. I want to be with naked hot girls. Like Catherine Zeta-Jones, Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek. Three of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen, and will never be with. No hope. None. You know who was with all of them? Antonio.
I used to think it was so petty and sad when my sister would be madly interested in celebrity relationships, their habits and her pathetic emulations of them. (Fake Louis Vouitton purse?) Now that I think though, it may just be the equivalent of my male thinking. I want Antonio Banderas' life. He was a sex symbol as an actor. Had sex scenes (And who knows what went on behind them.) with the three aforementioned beauties. His wife now is not what I would describe as beautiful, but he has undoubtedly had many amazing conquests to go along with Catherine, Angelina and Salma. He has no need for more beauties, and I just know his wife is the most caring, funny, 'beautiful on the inside' girl one could find.
To sum it up with a mad double colon line: Antonio Banderas: I'm jealous of him.

You were in the same room as him. I am humbled. Merely by his collateral e-presence in my life.
