So, my bro and I head over to Best Buy last night to buy a CD stack and a microwave (hereafter known as wave) for my new apartment.
We pick out the stack and then head over to the waves.
A conversation with a good buddy of mine follows:
strider: guess what
billy bob: what, my friend, what?!
strider: my bro and I got kicked out of Best Buy last night
billy bob: LOL
billy bob: how?!?
strider: well, we went to purchase a CD stack and a new microwave
billy bob: that's a crime in 42 states!@
billy bob: THOSE TWO DO NOT MIX! :-P
strider: we're checking out the waves and we're joking about how funny it would be to throw the whole stack in, start it and walk away
strider: then I turn one on and this fellow customer asks me if I know that running it without anything in it will damage it

As this guy starts speaking I notice his wife and kids duck their heads and scurry away...

strider: I tell him I don't care, I'm just trying it out
strider: we have this big ol' debate

This guy thinks he can intimidate us 'cause we're "kids." (I'm 24, my bro = 21). I'm 6' even, 190 lbs, not fat. This guy = probably 220 and 6'3", 45. I'm not backing down so he tries the intellectual route. He asks me what degree I have and I tell him electrical engineering.
ego needs a boost: "well, you should know then that running it without anything will damage it"
me: "you may be right. but you see, I don't care"
ego needs a boost: "well, people like me buy display items"
me: "that's nice. so tell me, do you never test drive your vehicles before you buy them?"
ego needs a boost: "well this is different"
me: "no, it's exactly the same"
ego needs a boost: *mumbles*
me: "just leave, you don't work for Best Buy so just leave us alone"
(During this debate my bro is going to each and every wave and turning them on, while ego glares from me to him)

strider: finally he says he's going to watch us until we leave
strider: I tell him I have all night
billy bob: a customer is watching you all night?
strider: he finally leaves and I decide on the wave I want
strider: this burly bouncer looking dude comes and I tell him I need someone with a ladder while he mutters something about "where are they at"
strider: I'm like "great", the guy told on us
strider: burly guy leaves, gets the retard to ID us
strider: I'm incredulous, arguing with both of them while this other girl employee is checking all of the microwaves for CDs

the second time bouncer guy/employee approaches the ego needs a boost guy is standing there with a smug look on his face. I glare back (adrenaline pumping through my veins) and I'm ready to punch the guy. But I figure BB is a pretty good store and I want to continue shopping there in the future. I try to explain to bouncer that we did nothing wrong. He seems to somewhat beleive me but he's already fed up with ego so he tells us we have to leave

strider: I was HOT, ready to punch the guy
billy bob: wow, it sounds like it.

strider: no, just for last evening, I guess

strider: my bro's gonna go get the wave this morning and file a complaint
strider: we went to Target after and they sell CDs cheaper there, so I'll be getting mine there for now on
If I ever see that guy again I'll devise a scheme to get him kicked out. Like maybe planting merchandise on him so he gets caught for shoplifting like the Hispanic guy (George Lopex) in that silly 90's ski film Ski Patrol.

Yeh, it ain't the retards fault that I have an empty feeling out of me, I guess when you first enter college, one can be quite nervous and alone.
However, when I REALLY think about it, it's people like THIS person that make me want to give their school some Columbine treatment, just to send a broader message to everyone. One time while working at a coffee joint a while ago, some kids came in, and sat at the tables without buying anything, at the time I wasn't aware that high school kids can act like complete assholes. I received a phone call from a customer working across the road, and they said some kids left a LOAD of napkins and real-estate brochures in a big pile. So, I asked my co-worker what she knew, and she explained that 3 napkin dispensers were completely emptied. The kids never came back, they just dumped crap without a purpose.
People like loki are "patriots" in the true sense of the word, but my patriotism is based on a world with rules and order, and consideration for the rules and other people. As in if you go to Best Buy, don't open a cd wrapper, because inevitably it's going to get you in BIG SHIT. If you need assistance at a fast food place, don't go behind the counter to search for an employee, just wait in FRONT of the counter!
You're right, we need to kill these retards, not teach them.
