Here is the disclaimer:
My name is isaac, i'm a supporter of david cobb. I'm increadibly neurotic that people are going to be mad at me... i like democrats, i like republican people, there should be no problem.
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." -- George Bu$h, August 5th, 2004
A lot of you won't understand the signifigance of this quote. Truth be told, i've grown used to glaring speaking errors of president Bu$h, and i don't even care that he uses the same template to create all of his speeches. Those things aren't what has me upset.
The point?
Is president Bu$h actually saying anything worth listening to?
Here it is, august, 2004, and although there are many pressing issues relating to the future of our nation, Bu$h is still regurgitating the same non-sprecific terrorist talk he has been for the past 3 years.
Why is this topic so damn important? I want to know about healthcare! I want to know about issues that directly impact my life!
Am i the only one who isn't still sitting his pants over terrorists?
Is it any wonder that Americans don't feel safe, while their government is constantly shoveling fear down their throats?
I ghuess i'm just sick and tired of being sick and tired....

I have absolutely no proof that kerry will be a better president, and that's what scares me. People seem to be eating this garbage up like it's fucking fillet minon, and since kerry is trying to appeal to the same people, i have a feeling not much will change regardless of the outcome of the election. It just makes me kind of sad.
And yeah, i do have to spell bu$h with dollar signs.

Did you really have to use the $ sign in Bush?

I just wish I had some confidence that Kerry would be much better. Still, at least the Democrats make a pretense of believing in democracy, free speech, and all that, and you can try to hold them to it. The Republicans don't even pretend to uphold the constitution.

I agree with your point. If George W. Bush expects to be re-elected as the President of the United States, he needs to convince the nation that he is doing good on all aspects of the Presidency.
While George W. Bush seems to be content with only being the Commander-in-Cheif, he is also expected to be the Cheif Executive, the Cheif Formulator of Public Policy, the Head of State, and many other things. Only talking to us about the War on Terror is not going to get him reelected. He needs to tell us what the hell he's been doing on all issues (you know, the ones that he ran on in 2000) since he took office.
Sure, September 11th changed the world. Let's grant Bush that Afghanistan and even Iraq were necessary wars. Great. That isn't the only thing to be concerned with. Even during their presidencies, other wartime presidents (Madison, Polk, Lincoln, Wilson, Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Johnson, Nixon, Bush Sr., etc.) had to be worried about domestic affairs.
So Bush has to tell us exactly what he has been doing and why he thinks this country is going in the right direction.
