Instead of walking the 15 miles through the snow to get to my house,
I decided to catch a ride home with a friend. This proved to be a hilarious event.
I guess I should have noticed that it wasn't going to be an average ride
when he started going 50km/hr in a carpark with potholes the size of NZ's
West Island. We talked about his sister and my plot to take over the world,
when he mentioned something about a class we had taken the semester before.
The class was Biological Anthropology, which was basically a paper on evolution.
Little did I know but Steve was rather religious and went to great lengths to uphold this.
Steve: "That lecturer hated my guts for some reason"
Falco: "Why would anyone hate, for hate should be turned into love"
Steve: "Stupid bitch gave me 0 on my essay"
Falco: "I know it was hard, but what would merit such a harsh mark"
Steve: "She got all fired up that my essay was too intellectual for her"
Falco: "Hmmm, what did you write"
Steve: "This awesome paper on how evolution is a scam and a load of shit"
Falco: "Wasn't it on something like the evolution of the human foot to suit bipedalism?"
Steve: "I dunno but she gave me 0 and I failed the course"
Falco: "What a bitch"
Steve: "I even got references from my church"
Falco: "Bummer"
Steve: "No, just oral"
So, my questions to you all;
1) Are you pro-evolution or pro-creationism?
2) Explain said reasoning for the question above?
3) Would you risk 30% of a stage 2 grade to try prove a point?
4) Does evolution make baby Jeebus cry?
5) What is the square root of an apple pi?

Evolution seems self-evident. Most of the men I know are barely human and look a lot like monkeys... however, when I look in the mirror, its obvious God had something to do with me.

I'm Agnostic, I believe that there are good arguments for creationism and evolution. I don't know if either one of them is right, or even if there is another explanation that is true. I don't know if there is a god. If there is a god, I think that every religion, from the ancient african religions, to modern day christianity, has an equal chance at being right. And I don't know if anyone else hass it figured out.
I would risk failing an entire course if I felt passionate enough about something. However, I think we all have had to write papers about things we disagree with, if not, than we all should. It teaches you how to see other sides of a situation. The right thing to do is to do the research, write the paper, and try to learn something.
