Subject: Interesting Facts
Interesting............
There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq during the month of January.....
In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the month of January.
That's just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war torn country of Iraq. When some claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the following:
FDR...
led us into World War II.
Germany never attacked us: Japan did.
From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost,
an average of 112,500 per year.
Truman...
finished that war and started one in Korea,
North Korea never attacked us.
From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost,
an average of 18,334 per year.
John F. Kennedy...
started the Vietnam conflict in 1962.
Vietnam never attacked us.
Johnson...
turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
Vietnam never attacked us.
From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost,
an average of 5,800 per year.
Clinton...
went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent, Bosnia never attacked us.
He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing.
Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.
In the two years since terrorists attacked US!
President Bush has ...
liberated two countries,
crushed the Taliban,
crippled al-Qaida,
put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a
shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.
The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but...
It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound.
That was a 51 day operation.
We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find her Rose Law Firm billing records.
It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina
Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick, drowning Mary Jo.
It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida

I bet them Iraqis love them "freedom craters" instead of homes, and the "freedom holes" that we put in children make them cooler, and we all know they'll never be hungry, cause they can always eat lead

Bush_Lies is a retard.

Yes, they did help the nazi's....BEFORE THE WAR STARTED. You know, before it was known they were slaughtering innocent women and children.
Germany never attacked the US, so their declaration of war went unanswered, UNTIL their allies, japan, attacked pearl harbor.
You're a dumbass.

first of all "Germany never attacked us"
this point doesn't matter, Hitler declared war upon the United States, that is the one and only reason we declared war upon him. until that time the USA was actually supplying the Nazis with supplies and Henry Ford was making tanks for the Nazi war machine right through the entire war (and later sued the USA for bombing his factories in berlin, and won the lawsuit in 1952).\
you mention 50 some thousand died in vietnam, failing to mention over a MILLION dead that weren't U.S. citizens. i guess you don't find their lives relavent of mention, or the CIA bombings and torture in boarding Loas and Combodia during those years you propaganda loving son of a bitch.
As far as bosnia, there wasn't any evidence of genocide until AFTER the bombing by clinton. the entire event was pure hipocrisy as Clinton aided Turkish opression of the kurds through all of the 1990's, supplying them with over 80% of the arms needed to expell over 3 million in turkey.

In order:
WWII: Germany was a power-hungry war machine that was overrunning Europe and slaughtering millions of Jews and gypsies. Saddam Hussein was the dictator of a pissant country in the Middle East and tried to take over another another tiny country years ago.
Korean War: Like the Iraq War, an ill-concieved war that probably shouldn't have taken place. Two wrongs don't make a right.
Vietnam War: An unjustified horrible war that definitely shouldn't have taken place. Again, two wrongs don't make a right.
Bosnia: There was a genocide going on. Not so in Iraq, although the Kurds were oppressed.
In any case, regardless of how long the war has been going on, it never should have happened. Just recently, the 9-11 commission found no working relationship between Al-Qaeda and Saddam Hussein. No weapons of mass destruction have been found.
Oh, and good job not counting the Iraqi deaths in 39 deaths. They don't count because they're not human.

What? We're we supposed to wait until Germany came within 10 miles of the coast before we declared war on them?
We are one of the most powerful countries in the world. Many in fact would argue that we are THE most powerful. Would it be better if we just sat on it?

Does anyone else notice that when "we" don't agree with a political viewpoint, the person is always either "brainwashed" or "just an idiot"? I just read the Count's post about the "brainwashed" kids and thought, "Gee, I would have to say that he's the one that's brainwashed" when I don't think there's any brainwashing being done at all. What do you all think of this?

I don't care that you cut-and-pasted this: +2.
If you really want a high rating for a political post, I'd suggest you follow these instructions:
1) Go to the nearest elementary school. Stand in the middle of the visitors' parking lot.
2) Select an empty European-made car (e.g., Volvo, Saab, Mercedes, BMW, et al) or minivan with a soccer magnet on the rear deck lid.
3) Wait for owner of said vehicle to return from picking up his/her child. When they arrive, ask the elementary schooler (with the parent's permission) to "list ten reasons why Bush is a bad man." Because the child has been warped by years of yuppie, ex-hippie, liberal brainwashing, she will respond with a nice summary of things he/she heard her parents say, except she will translate this into her own childlike (and unbearably cute) language.
4) Take dictation and transcribe the child's words into your next post.
Even reasons like, "He's a poopy poop," will garner you +2's out the wazoo!

What if you were to compare pro's with pro's and con's with con's... who would come
out looking better?
This is the most complicated thought I have come up with in weeks.

That has to be the stupidest comment I have ever fucking heard in my life.

Lets see. The bombing the WTC. The oklahoma city bombing. The bombing of that navy ship, which I forget the name of.
This all happend during clinton. Is it clinton's fault?

For teh record, Saddam wasn't a terrorist, he was just a murderer. Terrorist have a political or religious(Martyr) message to send, while Saddam just didn't like those people. I still don't see what that has to do with the military guarding oil camps.

Have we really "taken Iraq"?
Bosnia never attacked us, but the Bosnian Serbs were actively engaged in genocide against the Ethnic Albanians. US involvement was part of a NATO endorsed action to stop the genocide.
Al-Qaida crippled? Really?
That we've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find her Rose Law Firm billing records suggests perhaps that we should have given the weapons inspectors more time before invading Iraq.
I was under the impression that Clinton was unable to accept Sudan's offer of Bin Laden because, at the time, the US had no legal basis for holding him. Instead, negotiations were made to have Saudia Arabia take him into custody...but of course the Bin Laden family's sway in Saudia Arabia is no secret, and the negotiations failed.

Being that Japan was an ally of Germany, us getting into WWII and fighting germany makes sense.
The Korean War and the Vietnam War were to fight the spread of Communism. Political wars, not wars to save lives. Is anyone surprised that these turned out ugly?
The Branch Dividian compound was in the U.S. Comparing this raid to a war is ridiculous. Being that these people were U.S. citizens and on U.S. soil, certain LAWS have to be followed. In war, we can just bomb the shit out of them. Of course it took longer.
How many people have died under Bush's regime? Already we're at a couple thousand americans just from lack of security (9/11). How many american's have died in Iraq and Afghanistan? How many Iraqi's and Afghans have been killed? It seems to me that Bush has got one hell of a yearly average murder rate under his belt. President Bush, international man of murdering.
