First of all, I want to say that this wasn't the first choice. I am a male of
the species, and while Julia Roberts is a very attractive woman, this film had
chick-flick written all over it. We had gone to the theater with the intention
of seeing High Fidelity (after rejecting The Skulls), but it was sold out
(as was The Skulls), so we decided on Erin Brockovich.
I have to say, this movie was actually pretty good. If you have seen
The Rainmaker and liked it, this movie is definitely for you. It has that same
small town lovable lawyer against the stone-cold corporate legal team story line
that everyone loves, but the real twist is Julia Roberts.
As Erin Brockovich, Julia Roberts is an angry foul mouthed short tempered and
even shorter skirted woman who lands a job with a lawyer who lost her case from
an automobile accident. She takes an interest in a routine real estate case and
stumbles upon the plot of the movie. She then goes on to woo us with her charm,
smile, and heart. She even turns her Harley riding neighbor into a total wuss.
The movie was very entertaining. Julia Roberts gets a thumbs up for her wardrobe
even if there was no hardcore nudity. The storyline was solid, but a little
familiar. At times, the movie seemed a bit long, but at least it wasn't The Skulls.

Decent review. But I don't like Julia Roberts movies very much, except for Conspiracy Theory, and that was purely because of Mel Gibson's acting.

Did your woman make you go? This is only situation in which domestic abuse is socially acceptable. You wouldn't even catch me at a Julia Roberts flick.

she didnt get her tits out enough for this film to be good. Russ Meyer should have made it, THEN it would have been good.
