I am reaching a crossroads in life. It is not a bad place to be but I have a few things going on in my head just now and eventually some form of decision shall be needed. I am putting this to you Uber users as you are an international audience and my problem is international in nature.
Anyway. I work in Oil and Gas and as such there are many areas of the world in which I can work. So far I have only had a week in Sudan but greater possibilities exist. At the moment I have four possibilities as to where to go next.
1. Perth, Australia,
2. Dubai, U.A.E.
3. Houston, U.S.A.
4. Toronto, Canada
I am not sure how I have landed myself in this situation (not a complaint) however there are reasons surrounding them all.
1 My girlfriend is from Perth. She leaves Scotland in March and she reckons I could come with her and get a job there.
2 My boss is leaving soon and has told me that I could get a job with him there.
3 An old colleague says he can get me a job there tomorrow if I wish
4 An old school friend who emigrated 10 years ago there is now HR manager for a major company there and says that she needs good people out there.
Anyway I am rambling. What I want from you guys is an opinion on each country/city. What are the merits and downfalls of each place?
Oh! Canada and U.S.A. are already low on list because of that lack of vacation time thing. Prove to me it is worth it!
I am going to regret this as soon as I post.

Well it looks like Houston is rapidly being binned from future plans.

Come to toronto if you like...
Potholes on every street
very snowy winters
cops setting up radar traps at 1 in the morning (got a 86 km/h in a 60km/h zone ticket a few days ago at 12:30 in the morning on a tuesday)
i live in toronto and its a great city except for the potholes

Why you should NOT go to houston:
Because it is in Texas.
Other then that, I don't care.
I just don't want to see you end up in texas.

Dubai - better money, lots of cheap russian hookers. High standard of life and a good fucking party if you know where to go.

I shall not be outdone by Circe... Have a +2 =P
Honestly, it doesn't matter when it's winter. Most of the time it's sunny anyway. Despite the fact that lately it's been raining.... Oh well...

Perth is absolutely beautiful. I've lived here all my life, and I'm not sure I ever want to live anywhere else.
Apparently we're the most isolated capital city in the world or something... Still, we rule here.
