Apparently there is a Hurricane on the way to my house. (Charleston, SC) Which up until about an hour ago I was not real concerned with because I was here for Hugo and that was bad news. So the salesmen here at work keep popping in and out of my office - Jen, its a category 4 now...Jen, the gas stations are all empty...Jen, the grocery stores are packed.
Okay fine, I decide just to be safe I'll deposit my check, get some cash and fill up my gas tank. Better safe than sorry. In my little ten minute spree to the bank and gas station I was barraged with total mayhem. People are acting like Bin Laden is doing a midnight show at the Joe or something. I passed three accidents and a naked lady running down Dorchester Road. Is that how she prepares? Hey - whatever works. To each their own.
I have finally come to the conclusion that because of the Yankee (no offense, I love the accent - really.) Influx here on the lovely coast - that they are causing all of the nonsense. They just don't know what the fuck to do or expect. People, its no big deal. Get some beer, get some ice - and hold tight. You always get at least one free day off work. So relax.
Just in case something horrible does happen to me - I may sit down at the beach and yell at the surf like Lieutenant Dan - I'll leave it up to you guys to notify my family and feed my cats. Thanks in advance.
