I'm not sure if I should say I'm new, I've responded to a couple posts, read hundreds, now I'm writing one. So relax, sit back, stand up, do whatever the hell it is you do before you read a post 'cause it's time for me to finally say something.
For a small introduction I will say my name is Victor, I'm 23 and from New Orleans. Among my accomplishments are, I've been legally dead, considered the best bartender on Bourbon St. (lots of stories from that time), and I've run a strip club (some stories from that time as well). None of this is important, nor is it really an accomplishment of any kind, but it does offer some background information (however impertinent it may be). Now I will offer you some random thoughts and opinion for your viewing pleasure (or displeasure). Keep in mind the fact that it doesn't matter if I'm right or wrong, what matters is I'm right and you're wrong, even if you agree. As a side note I'd like to add that I tend to swear a lot, but I'll attempt to refrain from it for now.
Politics - I don't like talking politics because, let's face it, most people have made up their mind already. Bush is evil, Kerry's evil, everyone's evil. People are jumping on the bandwagon for one or the other based upon their feelings of Bush. Kerry's platform so far is "I'm not George Bush" which to me isn't really a platform, maybe he'll say something interesting soon, who knows. The political banter between the two is tantamount to children in the sandbox. One is saying I did this, the other is saying I would have done the same thing, but I didn't and that makes me better than you. Whether it does or not is foolish and pointless. Just keep in mind that come November, we're screwed.
Religion - I'm not going to get into the absurdity of most religion. From reading this site I notice that most of you are open-minded and logical people, which leads me to believe you're not all very religious. My thought is simple, good can come from faith, but entrenching yourself and your beliefs in a book written when people thought the Earth was flat is a little goofy. Use it as a guide if you will, but not as an excuse to alienate people or suit some self-righteous gratification.
Sex - sex is good. Very, very good. I'll have mine with a side order of Fellatio.
TV - I have 500 channels, it takes me 30 minutes to find something to watch, and more often than not I end up missing a good show (like Macgyver or something) because I spent so damn long sifting through crap. Reality TV is not reality, and scripted TV is just as boring nowadays. Cartoon Network seems to play the best shows (Family Guy and Futurama), other than that I'm left with reruns of greatness, shows that argue (like PTI, which is great), and Boy Meets World (whatever happened to Topanga?). Seems that with the birth of the internet, TV just doesn't try anymore.
Celebrity - People seem to be genuinely interested in the day-to-day life of people they've never met. There are only a handful of real famous people. These are the ones that, for years, have consistently entertained us and will continue to, I still don't care they're getting married to so and so or that they bought a plane, or a Big Mac. Whoopity-do. The rest of the people you see one TV are Pseudo-celebrities. They aren't referred to as B-list because they don't do B-movies. These are the people propagated endlessly by the media (Paris Hilton, Ashton Kutcher, etc.). While some of these people may be entertaining or mildly interesting, they haven't done enough for me to say, "let me go see the new [insert interchangeable Pseudo-celebrity here] movie." None of these people really piss me off, I just get tired of seeing their face plastered everywhere when they've done little of note.
Movies - $8.00 is too much money for me to sit in a theater surrounded by loud, obnoxious morons. I think movie theaters should employ Bouncers, a la Roudhouse. Cell phone goes off, bounced, your kids won't shut up, bounced, no substitutions, exchanges, or refunds. Speaking of Roadhouse, Patrick Swayze should be free to actually do this job.
Well, that's it for me (for now). Rate me what you will, don't care. If someone was entertained by this post, then I guess I've done enough by helping to improve the decent:shitty ratio of posts. I look forward to posting more in the future. Just remember one thing. I'm Better than You.

I usually automatically issue no better than a 0 for someone who writes a first post and tells me so - however I have some respect for pompousness. You'll get plenty of +2's for mentioning underappreciated shows and movies, I'm sure you may write a post even you'll think is shitty and be surpised when someone says "+2 for mentioning Willow! I love that movie dude!"
Anyway I can't give you a +2 because you think you're better than everyone here, and you'll have to prove it first. There's lots of tough talent to compete with. Best of luck to you.

I enjoy PTI as well, but only when the hosts are Tony and Wilbon. The other guys suck.
