There's nothing like the stars at night.
It's quiet and serene out here. No lights, no traffic, nobody. It's perfect.
The fire, which was blazing just about an hour ago is now settled to a nice burn. Wood is amazing in how it burns. It's heat is so intense and it sucks the air in as it churns the flames out. Now it is nice. Slow. A cooking flame.
She watches me carefully as I turn the spit. Whenever I look at her, she looks away. She cannot speak. I won't let her. Chatter, chatter, chatter ever since she came here. A real chatty kathy. No more. Her tongue lies on a plate next to me. I look briefly at it, and then to her. I cannot help but smile.
I turn the spit even more now and we can smell the meat cooking. It is fine. She watches the spit turn ever so slowly. She has mascara lines running down her face where the tears once were. Where the tears flowed like a river, curving at the bottom of her cheeks, down her neck and into her ample bosom. She cried me an ocean tonight and I sailed that ocean with open sails, a full wind at my back. I can only imagine how many more tears there would have been if she hadn't passed out.
The sizzle has brought me back to the task at hand. Our meal. It is cooking nicely now, the fire spitting with the occasional dropping of juice from the meat. She is full of fear and I can feel it radiating off of her like I can feel the heat of the flame.
Both feelings energize me and I throw myself into the preparation of our feast.
Her legs are beautiful. Long and lean, they are every man's dream. The kind of legs that go right up and make an ass out of themselves. I had to have them. I had to have one. She will have one too.
As she watches me, I slice a piece off of the thigh as it roasts over the beautifully dancing fire. I put it on a plate and set it in front of her. As I am cutting the meat into bite size chunks I hear her start to gurgle and heave.
I won't let it ruin our dinner.
I take the pistol out from under my chair, place it to her head and order her to stop. She does. Her eyes are darting now from side to side as if she thinks she can escape, as if she thinks she can run.
I chuckle at the thought as I place the tender meat into my mouth. Looking down at the empty space where her right leg used to be.
I look up at the spit, admiring the shape of the cooking meat. Admiring the reflection of the firelight on the red nail polish on the toes.
Mmmmm.....medium rare. Just the way I like it.

How the hell did I ever miss this.
Great writing. I have weakness for dark imagery but this is just superbly written.

Nice angle on this one. I'm sure we're both wondering just how sadistic he is, though. Maybe not as inventive as he wishes he could be. You're the judge of that my friend.

Oh- I wasn't too sure about that. The "one is for her" bit seemed kind of ambiguous. Of course, I am an utter fuckwit, so it was my fault. As to his keeping her alive... "I take the pistol out from under my chair, place it to her head and order her to stop" seemed to be a threat of death, so I my point was, I'd just keep on gurgling, rather than continue. Ah, whatever, I'm not at my best at 3 am in the morning. Still kicker of so much ass it's indescribable.

Distrubingly wonderful, as usual. Although one does wonder as to why she doesn't just get him to shoot her- I certainly would have a long time before the meal was done. I mean, with no tounge and no legs, it isn't very likely that he would let her live. And if he did, quality of life and whatnot... Yeah. I'm a wimp (or brave, depending on one's point of view). It isn't that I would horribly mind eating my legs (well, no more than would be expected, anyway), but torture like this 'madman' engages in is WAY beyond what I am willing to tolerate.
She has one leg.
He keeps them alive until he is through with them. He never lets them live, but he has an agenda for each and every one of them. Well most of them anyway.

I appreciate the fact that you don't like this though. I have to assume the -1 is because of the writing since I don't know you or think that you might have some reason to hate me. Have you read the other 17 of these? This just goes to show that I have to try harder.

I considered that Circe, but she was too busy trying to not vomit or die. Besides, he got a kick out of eating it in front of her.
That tongue thing was also a factor.

Just one small thing: I would have loved to see a scene where he fed her own leg to her. I'm not sure how she'd swallow it with no tongue, but still. That would have been awesome.
