I crawled from a home of hatred and turned out to be one of the most compassionate people I know. I guess I could just kept going in the direction my sad family pointed me and claimed I was a victim of my enviroment, but I didnt. I decided to live a life that they chose not to. So I get well enough pissed at adults who carry on like idiots because of what they were subjected to as a child. I dont care what degree of abuse you suffered, it is no longer an axuse once you hit adulthood, unless you've been left with severe mental damage and need care. I have met so many people who have emotional problems and use them as a crutch not to excell in life, to stay stinted in addicton, in welfare, in a cycle of abuse their own. Go ahead and tell me how hard you were hit or mistreated in your home, I'll sympathize and listen and I will empower. But in noway should anyone be excused who carries on in a desructive/angry, hurtful way because they feel it is their right to. Get over it and help others to the same. The world is changing and so are the resourses, they are thinning out, and so is the worlds sympathy, there is no time to wallow in the mire of a hateful childhood!
A girl gets raped and becomes a prostitute
A man gets beat and becomes a woman-beater
A guy gets raped and becomes a homo
A girl gets beat and becomes codependant
Fuck that! They choose to become whatever they want. They choose to hate themselves and perpetuate that through self-abuse and abuse of others. It is not a reaction to an acton, its a copout! its a surrender to the hatred they were subjected to. Like anything it can be championed and put under your feet. So they next time you hear a grown man or woman, with a partial hold of their faculties piss and moan about having it rough, ask one question:
"What are doing to make your life and the lives of others better?"

it makes sense to think the weay you're thinking, but the human mind isn't that simple. Traumatic events can lead to certain personality and descicion making choices that can lead to things as you stated.
Don't be a douche bag, or I'll have to rape you and turn you gay.

I agree with what you have written to some degree, however your statements about a male being raped (I am assuming by another male) could have anything to do with homosexuality or homosexuality being a choice is absurd. I understand your point was that male-male rape will not cause homosexuality, however in the context that you used it, you suggest that you know of people who belive that this is the cause of homosexuality. Furthermore, you indicate that because there are homosexual males out there, they must have chosen to be as such.
Homosexuality is not a choice or a "lifestyle", one does not choose to have curly hair or be gay (although, you can fake the curly hair pretty well, as can a homosexual fake being straight) it is a natural part of someone.
