I hate pretty much any form of falsehood. But, as humans, or whatever you want to consider yourself, we all do it. We all take part in some false way of life or some shit. But there are people who delve so deeply into these false ways of life that they truly believe that the way they live is "real".

You guys all know that expression "each lie is a snowball getting bigger", or some variant of it. It holds so truly for a lot of people. You lie and lie and lie until you begin to actually believe your lies. You lie to yourself to boost your self esteem and your ego, as if to justify the way you live.

My friend Jeremy told me that in recent Batman comics, Bruce Wayne gets so into his alter ego, Batman, that he begins believing he is Batman, and that Bruce Wayne is the alter ego. It's all one big psychological mind fuck.

I had a friend named Andres. He was awesome. He was the shit. He was this pop-punk kid that was so into it. One of my best memories of him was Halloween '01. He came to school dressed as a butterfly. Months pass, and a gang banger named "Dre" replaced him. He fell into this way of life much more than his pop-punk alter ego, and before long, he was rolling with some gang. Fast forward to spring '04, and we find "Dre" sent to Texas by his family because he was jumped by a rival gang.

I have another friend who began smoking and drinking. He used to be so strongly against drug taking. But, perhaps influenced by a turn of events, he began smoking and drinking. While this may be negative, he was still himself. He was still the same kid we all knew and love, albeit with drugs running through him.

Some people may mistake change for conformity. Conformity is sudden. Conformity is changing not because you want to, but because everybody else is doing something, and you want to join the crowd. Change isn't so sudden. Change is you being you, albeit... a different version of you.

Andres conformed. My friend changed.

My friend Ben was with this girl for a very long time. He loved her. She loved him. But she also changed him. What she hated, he hated. What she liked, he liked. In a lack of a better choice of words, he was whipped.

This Ben was not the Ben I knew since the beginning of high school. This Ben was an asshole who was too blind to even notice he changed. This Ben was trying way too hard to impress his girlfriend to even realize what he was doing to himself and his friends. It took him time, but he finally realized his mistake and fixed it.

Ben conformed to better suit himself in front of his girlfriend.

I hate people who change who or what they are for a "loved one". I have a friend who went so far as to creating a new "person" to hide herself from her boyfriend. She expressed her views and opinions, and was so scared that her boyfriend might find out what she truly thought at the time that she took upon a new persona so as to help hide what she truly felt.

I hate that. I hate that so much. This is the part of the post where I try to begin making sense. I have this "stand your ground" stance, which I may or may not have mentioned earlier. If you truly feel so strongly about something as to go onto a public web site and express your feelings, then by all means, stand by your words. Don't be afraid if your loved one finds out. Even if your views change later on, explain that to them. They'll understand, as he should do because of his title as "boyfriend".
If my views offend you, then so be it. You're entitled to be pissed as how I'm entitled to think what I want.

And to think this stemmed from me wanting to rant about how stupid pirates are.

I like Sonic the Hedgehog alot.

Random...ity is how things should be done.

And nah, it's a screen cap from the new "Sonic X" cartoon. They had this little cutesy segment in one episode, and yeah. Sonic's pimped out.

That Sonic reference was really random.

And that's the worst picture of Sonic ever. Unless you drew it.

If you did, then I love it.
