For those older uberers out there, remember a while back when I was still hurting over that lousy bitch that broke my heart? Yeah, it was pathetic. My self esteem was in a down place and I didn't think I was worthy of love. Now things have changed dramatically. I don't know what has happenned and I don't necessarily think that this is a sign of good self esteem but it sure is a better change.
Why is it that we, as human beings, want what we can not have. Over the past year, I have had many opportunities at a relationship but I have purposely self destructed them all. Now, I am in a position with a few different girls where I can get casual sex almost everyday of the week. Not bad eh? Actually, it turns out that it is not all that it is cracked up to be. What's wrong with me?
It seems now that after these evenings where me and some chick bump uglies, after it is over, they get up and leave. That used to be my idea of an optimal scenerio but it truly feels empty. I remember the times where I have slept with a girl that I was involved with and after it was over, I wanted to leave, or just roll over and sleep. I guess karma comes back around and bites you because I made all those girls feel empty. Infact, I think I made them feel more empty because they got into bed with the intention of making love and all I cared about was the fucking part.
I am going to quote some Bon Jovi now because it's relevent. "Tonight, I won't be alone but you know that don't mean I'm not lonely." Actually, I am going to be alone tonight because I am coming down from another heavy drug binge with a sinus infection to top it off but you know what I mean. I wonder if I am going to be the same way in the next relationship or if I am going to finally accept it and just be happy.
This is not a plea for sympathy. Am I depressed? No, I am more than happy at this point in my life. I guess it is more of a longing feeling. I just want something to make myself a little happier. Maybe that's selfish. I have always been a fairely self centered kind of guy. For now, I think I will just pop in some Willie Nelson and jerk off to some incestual midget porn while contemplating the motives of myself and the people around me. Maybe, I just have yet to be in love and I got tired of searching. Who knows? Maybe I am just tired in general.
