Here are some bands and cds that I think are good, if you know them good, if you don't they come highly recommended.
Tiger Army: Love songs that, if you listen closely, are actually murder songs are what I see as the trademark of this band. They play music of the psychobilly caliber, mixing rockabilly ('50s rock) with punk and bluegrass country. I know it would seem hideous and revolting but it's actually quite pleasant.
Nekromantix: Another psychobilly band with great song titles, for example "Who Killed the Cheerleader?" "Murder for Breakfast" and "Jack the Stripper". The great part is that each song lives up to its title in quality. It's an acquired taste, very much rockabilly influenced more than the other two genres that contribute.
Ministry: From bashing christianity to songs like "flashback" in which he kills 2 people, Ministry is an all around family favorite. Great industrial band that has been around for quite some time.
Silverchair: For a band with political messages it's surprisingly high quality. Interesting tidbit: 2 teens allegedly killed an entire family in washignton after listening to "Israel's Son" which has the chorus "you're next for the execution, if you're not here soon I'll kill your freind instead".
REM: I've always kind of listened to them, but recently it has gone beyond "that band my parents like that I kind of enjoy".
The Cure: Murder, love and darkness are a great combination yet again. I like it because it's proto-industrial and it's just very well produced and mixed.
AFI: Say what you want, it's been said before, but I enjoy it, so fuck you. It appeals to the side of me that isn't devoted to my violent sense of humor. It's good calm-down music, it's good for making girls think you're "romantic", it's even good for telling others to let you sleep in (if you use the right song).
Dead Kennedys: "it's a holiday in Cambodia!" Cliche but fun to listen to in moderation.
KMFDM: great industrial band, it has everything from Bush bashing to eminem bashing and disney bashing. And that's just in one song!
Skinny Puppy: It's an acquired taste, I hated it for weeks before warming up to its subtle charms, plus with songs like "Fascist Jock Itch" you can't go wrong.
I've accepted that I'll be flamed for this because of diverse musical tastes here, enjoy.

I'm on the drug,
I'm on the drug,
I'm on the drug that killed River Phoenix.
I saw his body thrashing round.
I saw his pulse rate going down.
I saw him in convulsive throes.
I said "I'll have one of those."

-1 for the post but the prof's recital of a truly brilliant band makes it a nice even 0.

Dude, the Dead Kennedys were never 'fun' to listen to.
Check out Dillinger Four.

TISM all the way, fuckface!!
I have to say I don't mind some of your music choices... although I have trouble enjoying any Silverchair since about Freakshow.

I'm willing to agree to your list.
As a general rule, I oppose any band whose name seems as though it was chosen by randomly selcting 2 words from a dictionary.
e.g. Alter Bridge- in addition to the fact that they would suck balls anyway. (Creed.*barf*)

I like the music you have here. AFI is still in my collection, but none of the newer stuff has appealed to me. Tiger Army is bad ass, too.
Try Pinhead Gunpowder. The album with the accoustic "Landlords" oon it.
