Today our facility took in a nine-year-old girl. She is feisty as hell. She'll tell you to fuck off as easily as you would say hello to your Grandma. Why is this girl with us? Why didn't she stay with one of the THIRTY - yes, thirty, foster homes that she has been in within the last 9 months? Was it because one of her foster parents was fucking her? Maybe. Was it because no one could handle her absolute (and well-justified) lack of trust for anyone? More than likely. Now we have her, and our sole responsibility is to try to create a place she feels is safe. Of course, she is a seasoned veteran at pushing people away. Hopefully we can understand that in time, before she runs off into the hills...
At all of nine years, this girl is homeless and parentless. Her mom died nine months ago from a drug overdose - one of many, this one fatal. At six or seven, her mom recruited her as a partner in prostitution, and at nine she has had three years' worth of prostitute sex and drugs. With johns and her mom, often.
I remember KoolMang bitching about his job at the coffee store one time, and how life as a teenager just sucked. I remember some whiney shit talking about the horrors of saggy breasts. I also remember some absolute brain dead asscrack shitposter who said he had nothing to live for because he and his parents were too poor for him to go to college.
I am a businessperson. I don't take care of these kids, barely ever talk to them. However, as I read this girl's intake report, I realize how lucky all you bitches (and the rest of us) are.
So, just because you are a fucking greedy, undisciplined, unmotivated, entitled, whiny, lazy, malcontent, shit-eating pimple-faced American (or Canadian), half-witted, backwards ignoramus me me me with nothing better than "Waaaahhh, poor me, look at my life, all I can do is type on my $2,000 computer!" I say, on behalf of the rest of us:
Fuck you very much, I hope your ass splits open and your eyeballs bleed so you can know what a real problem is. Now turn off your computer and go read a book or join the Peace Corps.

On a lighter note, I don't feel bad for this girl at all.
She could very easily have gone to ANY ADULT ON THE STREET and told them what her mom was doing.
She didn't.
It's her own fucking fault.

Yeah...like kids actually do that. Christ. We have adults who are physically abused by their spouses and don't say a damn thing to anyone.
I hope she gets the help she needs.
