I wanna know about games that kick ass but aren't very well known. I don't care what system/genre/year, I just want some good games. Here are a few games that you might not have heard of that are awesome.

Game: Tetris Attack
System: SNES

Unlike most other Tetris games (3D Tetris, what the fuck was that?) the blocks in this game rise from the bottom and you use a two square switch-a-roo ma-jigger to change the blocks around to get three of the same shapes together. When the blocks rise to the very top, you lose.

I love this game because of the puzzle mode. It is one hell of a challenge. You need to clear all blocks on the screen within a certain number of moves. Early on, there are multiple ways to complete the level. And of course, the further you move on, the harder it gets. I have yet to beat puzzle mode because I get so deterred I won't play it for another year or so.

Game: Uniracers
System: SNES

No driver, just a unicycle running on an array of different tracks. There are straight-a-way tracks and then there are tracks with very big jumps. The AI is hard, but not impossible, (until you meet Anti-Uni) which allows you to actually get good at the game.

You can do tricks. Lots of tricks. Flip, twist, bounce, everything. The more tricks you do, the faster you go. The most fun that I had in this game was doing the stunt competitions. It's also a lot of fun to play multiplayer.

Unfortunately, this game is not playable on an emulator; you gotta own this one to get everything out of it.

Game: Monster Party
System: NES

I don't remember if this game was fun, but it was the first one I ever beat. I recall running around and beating monsters like Medusa with a bat.

By the way, Burnout 3: Takedown is a fucking insanely good game. (Only with a custom soundtrack, though)

I have two worth mentioning.

Stonekeep (PC circa 1995)
by Interplay
It's a dungeon crawler with some glitches but it is a reall fun game with an intriguing storyline.

Snatcher (Sega CD circa 1993)
by Konami
On of the best games ever made. Engaging storyline (very engaging), fun to play and completely underrated. the-underdogs.net has a lot of underrated games listed for those interested.

Long live emulators.

Game: Captain America
System: NES

I don't remember ever playing this game on my NES until I bought it for a nickle from my friend a year ago. I then proceeded to get drunk and spill something on my NES which broke the game (But not the NES, weird eh?) It is a shame that all I can do now is play it on an emmulator. You could play as either Captain America or Hawkman OR you could be hawkman and your buddy could be Hawkman. It's really too bad that hawkman sucked ass.

Good post by the way.

I'm not saying that the rom doesn't exist, I mean that it's unplayable as in not able to make the same moves/stunts, for some shit you have to hit up and right for a stunt to be pulled off. It might have been the imitation controller I was using, (I wasn't able to do it on the keyboard) but it's just a lot better with a snes controller.

Holy shit, I had Tetris Attack. That game was so fun, especially the story mode where you went out hopping on those little tree looking platforms to battle different people.

Gud powst.

Of all the games I have for PS2, I still find myself coming back to the Road Rash games for PS1 over and over again. Underrated as hell.
As for PS2 games, Way of the Samurai is my addiction....

Well, you know, other than beating off and chocolate. Nobody's come up with a game that duplicates that yet.

azure dreams for psx (you love it or hate it)

Legend of Legaia for psx, great learning curve, and beautiful graphics for the psx platform.

Both of those are rpgs.

Clocktower 3 for ps2 (great silent hill-ish game)
if you happen to find either of the first two for psx, great games as well.

Deus Ex: The Conspiracy PS2 is simply the best MGS type game EVAR.

Red Faction 1 or 2 is the best fps for ps2.

Most of theses can be had for 10-20 bucks. (except the psx ones)
