Well, since this is my first post, I figure I better make it good. So, here it goes.
I just read what I think is probably the most disturbing thing I have ever heard come out of a politicians mouth. Now, we all already know that Bush is an imbecile and has no grasp of the English language or grammar, but this takes the cake. The facts that "Dubya" is 1) extremely pro-war, 2) very anti-gay marriage and anti-gays all together, and 3) an oil tycoon (albiet a bad one) with a huge hard-on for the oil stores in Alaska could possibly be forgiven if he was at least a little more than a "compassionate conservative" puppet of Cheney and a total idiot to boot. I'm sure we all remember such great Dubya jewels like:"Border relations between Canada and Mexico have never been better."; "I promise you I will listen to what has been said here, even though I wasn't here."; and "No, I know all the war rhetoric, but its all aimed at achieving peace.", but I think that this particular diamond of his is absolutely terrible.
The quote in particular that I am referring to was said at a Republican meeting somewhere in Poplar Bluff, MO. Bush said, and I quote, "We've got an issue in America. Too many good docs are getting out of business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country."
Now, wtf is that? OB-GYN's can't "practice their love with women"?! Being a woman, I don't think I'd like an OB-GYN to practice any kind of "love" on me. I'm already shakey about what they do down there to begin with, but I know its a neccesary evil. If my OB-GYN tried practicing any kind of "love" during my appointment, I'd have him/her in court so damned fast Superman would be amazed. I mean, honestly, what woman would want an OB-GYN "practicing love" during an appointment? That's what sexual harrassment suits are for. Isn't America AGAINST sexual harrassment? Or is Bush "pulling a Clinton" with this particular issue? There is no reason for OB-GYN's to "practice" anything but their profession during an appointment with a patient. Also, and this is for the men out there, would you really want your lady's OB-GYN to "practice love" during a check up? I think the most common answer would be a very resounding "NO!".
So ladies and gentlemen, I pose a question to you all. Taking into consideration most of Bush's viewpoints, the fact that he is a blabbering idiot, and, most of all, this most recent statement, would you honestly vote for someone of this "caliber"?

Wow... hollow and cliched. I love being showered with adoration... I'd love to see some people's ideas of a well-informed argument. But hey, at least with this post you can tell who the damned Republicans are.

"I'm a war president, I make decisions here in the Oval Office on foreign policy matters with war on my mind, plus I'll fondle small boys and eat puppies. I don't care......(blank stare and stupid grin)......you know I really wanted to be a gynecologist back when I was a Yale cheerleader". - George W. Bush, February 8, 2004 on NBC's Meet the Press

Not even you can ruin my good day. Not even a post this shitty can knock me from my perch. Not even a hollow and cliched argument can stop me. Not even a deperssing example of the generation spawning clones of each other's political identities and...
Aww, stop it, you're making me cry.

This is why I wish ignorance was not so prevalent in America. None of these quotes were taken "out of context". They were all mispoken. The fault lies on the idiot who tried to use the mush between his ears to put together a coherent sentence... and failed. There are no border relations between Canada and Mexico as they don't share a border (if you don't believe me please refer to a map of North America). He meant between the US and Canada and Mexico (but that is not what he said). He said nothing about doctors not being able to practice the profession they love, he said they cannot practice their love on women. There is no "out of context" situation; the idiot said the wrong goddamn words because he can't think before he speaks (he lacks the necessary brainpower to do so).
And what is all this 'liberal' bullshit. There is a libertarian party, and last I checked they were not a major contender in our bipartisan system. And to all you idiots out there, the US was never intended by the founding fathers to be a bipartisan country. In fact, that was one of the issues they had with England at the time. Did any Republicans actually graduate from highschool or do they just inbreed in the backcountry?

Happy to see every was so pleased with my post... Maybe I should've made my position a little clearer. Yes, I am a liberal. A fairly extreme one, if you like. I am extremely pro-gay rights (although not gay myself), I'm not completely anti-war (but I think we've done our jobs in Iraq, considering the American death toll is upto 1000 people now), and yes, I like oil. I drive a car on a daily basis, so I understand the need for oil. And ok, maybe I could used better (worse?) quotes from Dubya, but I thought that those very clearly showed his incompetence. I didn't expect everyone to like this post (especially not Republicans), but I was hoping for something a little more intelligent than "Better luck next time, chummmmmmmmmmmp". Maybe my expectations were a little high. Oh, and for the record, I'm not a Kerry supporter either. I personally believe that both Dubya and Kerry are complete idiots, but there's no way in hell Nader is ever going to get into office, especially without a party backing him. I figure take the lesser of two evils. At least with Kerry I know that I'm not going to have some right-wing evangelical Christian conservative forcing his "God" down my throat at every damned press conference, among other things.

Those quotes are taken out of context, and whats wrong with being pro-war?
Or anti-gay.
Or an oil tycoon.
I enjoy oil, hating homosexuals everywhere, and above all.
I love the joys of KICKING ASS. And war most definetly falls under "kicking ass"
So, eat that. Fucking liberals.

Not one of those quotes you posted makes him sound stupid. Border relations between Canada and Mexico have never been better? How exactly is that stupid? Canada and Mexico are on the borders of the US. DUR! I guess you can take anything out of context and make it sound bad. Doctors are losing their jobs and can't practice the profession that they love. Fug off ho.

And just because I thought this was funny, but didnt want to make my own plagiaristic political post:
"...the AP also reports that Kerry has resorted to making fun of the president's middle initial:
"The 'W' stands for wrong," Kerry said of Bush's middle initial. "Wrong choices, wrong judgment, wrong priorities, wrong direction for our country."
Wow, there's a compelling argument. Of course, turnabout is fair play. Maybe Dick Cheney could adopt a similar slogan: "The 'F' stands for . . ." Ah, never mind."
