To all who are reading this diary. This is not the best or most interesting of what is within this binding. Nor is it the worst. It just is. When a person deals with life (death) as much as I do, sometimes the question of motivation rears it's ugly head. I ask myself why I do the things I do. I question why I was ever put here in the first place. I wonder whether or not my existence makes (made) a difference.
No doubt, dear reader, you have asked yourself the question of why as well. You are also wondering what it is that makes me tick tock through life as I do, or did as the case may be.
You must look, you must seek out the answers to the questions that you have. I created this accounting for one purpose, so that others may have the chance to understand what motivates me. I want people to know what it is (was) like to be me, to think like me, to live like me. To die like me.
I also want everybody to know how it was (is) for them. All the others who made this book possible. Without their sacrifice, it may never have come to pass.
Sometimes, all one has to do to take stock of the value of one's life is look around the house and see what has been collected over the years. One thing that I have learned over the years is that people collect all manner of things. These things truly are a glimpse into the soul of the collector. The objects and curios that we surround ourselves with will tell a story to the astute observer.
Pay attention.
Over in the corner there is a lampshade that has a nice dragon on it. It looks like one of those oriental dragons, nostrils flared with smoke coming out. It compliments the room nicely. Across the room are a pair of lead crystal wine decanters that have matching roses covering them.
There are two pillows on the couch. One with a skull and crossbones mounted on top of a celtic cross and one with a coyote howling at the moon. They are both done in black and compliment each other nicely.
I have a whole wall covered with all manners of tribal artwork. There are wide tribal etchings and swirly tribal spirals. A whole wall. They are also mostly done in black. It took me quite awhile to decide on these particular pieces. I think that I have picked the very best and most interesting to look at.
There are coasters on the coffee table. One is decorated with a heart pierced by an arrow, the word "Mother" written across it in script. There is also one with a N.Y. Yankees logo, and one with the pink panther on it. God it took a long time to get those right.
Hanging in my bathroom in a nice carved frame, is a moon with a face surrounded by thin wisps of cloud. Hanging right next to it is a sun with a face, sunbeams emanating from the radiant circle. I love to look at these while I am in there. Such good memories.
In the kitchen are some of the most interesting of my collectibles. I have a toaster cover with a nice version of Marilyn Monroe. This is an older one and took some care to preserve. It is truly a masterpiece. The tablecloth is a real beauty. It is a collage of pieces strung together. A nicely shaped nude woman with red hair flowing down her back, sitting on a swing that is connected to a crescent moon. A shiny jeweled dagger with just a drop of blood hanging gingerly from it's business end. An American flag and a Confederate flag intertwined, snakes emanating from the center of both, coiled and ready to strike at each other.
In the bedroom I have pillowcases with matching artwork. Flowers cover both, some roses, some tulips. They are so comfortable and pretty. I have a bedspread covered with skulls, all placed haphazardly and at random angles to each other. That one took a very long time and quite a bit of patience to get right.
No doubt that whomever finds this passage has already discovered the truth about me; has seen a small part of my soul.
Don't be disgusted. Don't be revolted. Don't hate me or wonder how I could be like I am. My tattoo collection is only a small part of what it is (was) like to be me.
Wait till you find the really good stuff.

I read... I didnt understand... I rescanned... I thought.
And then it dawned on me.
And I was so awestruck, so filled with delight, that I was at a loss for words.
Fucking Brilliant.
Good god, man, these are the epitome of Uber writing.
If I could give you more than a +2, I would. This is an instance where a +3 would be readily needed.

The description of the American and Confederate flags with snakes tattoo reminded me instantly of a tat that an old friend has on his back. That set my mind in motion.
"Wow, wouldn't it be sick if these were really tattoos?"
Blink, blink, blink....
Sicko
I loved this.

Yeah, that might work. I suppose if you kept them well-oiled and didn't wrinkle/crumple the skins too much, that would probably work. Otherwise, especially if he let them dry out, I think that they'd crack and tear. What oil does he use?
WHAT?
Yeah, when it comes to skins, human skin just isn't very durable. Silly adaptation, that.

For some reason, I figured out the whole tattoo thing before he even mentioned them. The pillows threw me for a bit of a spin (I've read that human skin, if properly tanned and dried, is relatively fragile, and tends to rip if the humidity is low), but... Yeah. I think that it disturbs me that I jumped to the correct conclusion so quickly.
I gave some thought as to how to address this very subject if it were so raised. I couldn't come up with an answer so I asked him.
He said that he has transparent inserts sewn into the fabric of the pillowcases, tablecloths, etc. He tans the hide and places it into the insert. The tablecloth inserts are plastic, the pillowcase inserts are a fine mesh fabric. Evidently he does the same thing with the couch pillows.

I didn't get it. I though he had finally written something that wasn't insane and likely to make me never want to eat again. Then I read Circe's comment. Then I read it again.
You will be the sole purpose I starve to death, you know that? Well done.
You must eat Ainkara. I wouldn't want you to waste away to nothing.

.....
Tattoos.
Oh, you sick, sick, twisted man.
You even surprised ME with that one, and I've seen every other twist in every other story.
Sometimes it is my goal to keep you thinking dear Circe. You think far too much like I do when it comes to this sort of thing.

Another brilliantly written piece.
Damn you. Now I want to hear more, but know that I have to wait.
